by Ok this is my irst entry, i don't know if it should be an entry or moved to the "forum" but there's been something on my mind and i feel i should "release"
When i first logged into eZabel, it was with the notion to meet some cool new peeps from the east coast, some i would never had the opportunity or the privilege to meet when i do visit the east side. As you know, when you're on vacation you're out and about taking in everything and sometimes don't have the opportunity to make it to a meeting to meet your fellow brothers and sisters.
I loved how everyone was close and shared viewpoints etc and it reminded me of me and my friends, but my friends wouldn't ever think of establishing a site for the group as we see each other ALL the time and they are computer-ly retarded (haha) so i think is the greatest idea.
Now since i have logged on I have met some amazing friends that truly make me laugh and are sweet in their comments and sometimes sincerely express their viewpoints etc. In which I would LUV to meet one day, either with me taking a trip out east or them coming out this way and we can enjoy some of the most amazing, raddest times!
Then there are some that are mean spirited and take events to seriously and are annoyed. This saddens me. I sometimes sense "cooler than thou" attitudes on here. I'm sorry no one is cooler than anyone, we're all in Jehovahs organization and are striving for the same thing, to prove satan a liar and to make it to the wonderful new paradise that Jehovah has in store for us.
So my question is this....why are there some attitudes??? Sure we're ALL going to have different viewpoints and thats what makes us who we are. Its fun to make the comments back and forth and sometimes the comments are funny when they are a little on the "smart allec" side. Those truly crack me up. Then there are those who's responses are mean spirited and say they are meant as jokes when in fact you can tell they are not and sometimes to some they are not taken as so.
Why the cooler than thou attitude? This doesn't annoy me as much as it saddens me. Wisdom and maturity come with age.....maybe some need a few years of growing up and realizing what this world really is and to discover who they are and what they want out of life.
I'm 30 and i'm still growing up and am still learning all that i can so as each year that i get older i can be that amazing person that Jehovah will truly love. I've lived an a wonderful life, have seen so much in this life, experienced so much and have learned from my life experiences to not take anything for granted that jehovah has so lovingly offered.
In conclusion of this rambling, take your life seriously, don't have the cooler than thou attitude because in reality you really aren't. Learn to love all of jehovahs creations under the sun...and true there may be some who do annoy us and when you truly "know" the person, you can come to your own conclusion but if you don't know the person, take it in stride, get to know them.

Hopefully i can get to know the others that i haven't, like englandkid, dgiamo, walkingplayground, ophelia. beachgirl, hunpapap (your reply's to your own comments alone make me laugh), rocksupastar (i miss your choice of song of the day) katiedid and funkyfresh & thewalkhome, malibu, yay....
IWZ, you have made an amazing site for your friends, you truly are a genuis...whether your the dictator or gestapo...you're amazing and i hope you keep creating "newness" for the site, it's GREAT!
But to the others, find out who you are before you pass judgement and get to know yourself and don't think you're cooler than anyone else because you know what, you aren't. who's to say whos cool or not, jsut like the outward appearance, its in the eye of the beholder and one day you might need these people to help you out when the great tribulation is here, we're all going to need each other because we're all we have.

eZabel certainly is something. Sometimes I'm not sure if it's good or .. not-so-good tho. I like when people are happy. That's good times. When people start getting mean, it's tough, cause what do I do? I didn't create the site to practice my peer-mediator skills.
Posts like this journal are one of my favorites things about this little ol' website. Makes it soo worth it when I see that so many of you are willing to put as much effort into the site as I do, and care about it as much as I do.
So, anyway, as socalgal said, keep it real people. Be nice, be KIND, be encouraging. Cause, really, that's what it's all about.

What exactly do you mean by that? Any form of the above, or the preaching part? Because what I see more then 'preaching' is friends trying to show some encouragment by either referencing a scripture or an article, I can't think of an instance where I've read either of those being done come across as preachy. I don't see a problem with building up one another. Sometimes its what the person on the other side has needed to help them through. I mean, if that's so wrong so would sharing life experiances that have helped us to have a deeper appreciation for the things we love.

Sometimes I walk into the bathroom and look into the mirror. hey, nuggies for everyone. all of us will take turns giving and recieving. its the only way to settle this. well, actually, once i did settle this problem by creating a website about hockey. it had a picture of a hockey stick and a hockey puck. when you clicked on the hockey puck it would go 'boing.' that made everyone feel okay because they would just laugh and say 'hockey pucks dont go boing'

Sometimes some of us take pride in it, although it's not really something to be proud of, but reminders like this one help us to keep focused on the truly important things. Down with NJE! Seriously.... thinking, talking, and learning about Jehovah always makes us smile, that's just how we are made. I like how the Draw Close to Jehovah book puts it: When you make Jehovah your intimate friend, you are always talking about him, or to him, and either way our joys are heightened, and our sorrows are lightened.
Exactly. That's why I love that book so much. The name of the book says it all. We can't really appreciate Jehovah, and all that he does for us, until we do exacly what that title says.

This is exactly why this website is not here to preach the good news, and it's not here as a "JW" website, as I think all of you realize. It's for me and my friends, and others who care to join us. It's a discussion forum about everything and nothing.
In view of that, citing scriptures to others is no different than citing shakespeare, or the latest Grisham book. They are public works. As long as you are not truly "preaching the good news" while posting certain texts, I think we stay out of the category of sites the society has cautioned against.
When posting anything on eZabel, please use your conscience. This is a public website, and we don't want visitors getting the wrong idea. I usually tolerate discussion that revolves around spiritual things because they are side topics, not the main topics. So, please follow the direction as you see fit. I'll step in as I see fit.
One last point. As I've also said in the past, everything you write on this site is owned by you. You take responsibility for your own content.
