The Power Outage That Saved My Band
by So...As a few of you know, my current band was supposed to play a local band show at a fire house up in stockholm...kinda like the one in sweeded except for the fact that it's up Rt.23 in NJ....no ezabel event was set up, no invitations were sent out or anything, and we didn't really tell to many about it, cause it was gona be this band's first show, and we kinda just wanted it to be a bit of a test run..if you will....So...We pack up the bandvan, and roll on up to stockhizzolm...everything's going well..and then....
BAM
Stockholm is thrown back into the 18th cizzentury, and,all power is out, electricity is now, a luxury....This obviously got us kinda worried about whether we'd be able to play or not - so - we wait...All ten bands stand there, w/the same high hopes...Hours pass...And it seems the PSE&G fellas where too busy back @ the headquarters engaging eachother in Halo to pay us any mind...So..The show gets postbond..The multitude of emo lovin local band fans slowely get in their cars and drive home..Dissapointment fills the air...We decide to have a lil mini-show back at the studio....
Then
Joey(other guitarist) gets a call from Derek(bassist/shoe polisher)'s sister who had a lil story to tell...Derek's dad, who, at last notice, was at home entertaining grandparents, was going to sneak over to the show, watch our set, and surprise Derek...Dady, although a musician, has NO appreciation for any sort of heaviness or screaming in music - we aren't a hardcore band, but, we at times are intense enough to get derek's dad angered - enough for derek's dad to forbid him from the band...But thanks to lil Mr. Power Outage, that HORRIBLE scenerio never went down...Amazing how such a chance occurence could save our butts like that...S'almost like...nahhhhh...coincidence, pure coincidence...haha

I was slightly disapointed that you actually didn't play "the quiet things..." because that song has grown on me. You did start to play it like five times. You didn't play it, did you? Was I really that spaced out that night?
this is the begining of what will soon be an emo addiction...there was a time when you hated all sounds from this genre, but, i'm slowley desensitizing you into liking it....and, we never learned it as a band, they were just fooling around

yea, all u need now is one of those lil' mini pool tables that has ping pong on one side & air hockey on the other, foosball & pool. So like while you play their can be a ping pong tornament going on, on the other side of the room. We also need to invest in some DARTS 4 our poor purposeless DART board!
