I had the most horrible night..

Some friends and I met some people at Olga's Diner on 70. Last minute plans. Just as we arrived we found out that a young sister from my friend's old hall died in a car accident earlier this evening. They lost control of the car, brakes didn't work, car flipped 6 times and then caught on fire. 6 young ones were in the car, she was in the middle without a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Her friends couldn't even find her. I don't know any of these people and even though my friends did, it didn't hit them right away. They were still trying to find out what happened and get the details while the rest of us just tried to keep talking about other things. Out in the parking lot we all had an exaggerated goodbye because we really didn't want to go home and face the music. We were an hour from home and as I drove my friends to the hospital, it hit them like a ton of bricks. They cried hysterically at some points. I was crying and didn't even know the girl! When I got there I decided to walk in with them. As I stood in the waiting room I looked out of the window only to see my mom's car! This hospital is nowhere near where we live so..this was strange! She had brought her friend's husband to the ER for chest pains. HORRIBLE! But on the way to the hospital all I was thinking was, "I need to drop them off and get home and my mom BETTER be there because I really need to see her." Only she was right there at the hospital! I tracked her down and when I stepped into the room she was shocked to see me, thought that maybe I had heard about our friend who was sick. At that point I could barely explain my presence! *tear* And I think the paleness on my face was automatically mirrored in hers. Our friend looked awful too, I hope he'll be alright. The girl that passed away was only 17.

you paint a pretty picture but reality intrudes, and it's real bad news

Wierd. I just found out today that a young sister, a freind of mine that I went to pioneer school died also. She dide about a week ago and I didn't find out until today. She was only 22 years old and the best sister I've known. Craziness. *hugs*

Thank you guys for the *hugs* :) Our friend is doing fine, he was borderline pneumonia so the doctor said it was a good thing he came in...and he didn't have a heart attack as we had all thought. People in the Neptune area are coming together and coming to the family's aid, we're all praying for them. Unfortunately I can't shake this sullen mood I'm in!

was the kingdom hall that the girl that died was from wall?? cause that's exactly what happened on friday, only it was 5 people in the car, but other than that the same thing. her dad and grandfather were at the meeting sunday sitting in front of me, every few minutes the dad would start crying really hard. it was SO horrible. my sister in law brought them food yesterday afternoon and she said that the young girl's brother hadn't talked to ANYONE yet at all, they're all so messed up. it was their only daughter.

Thanks Todd and you are so right about that! I stumbled across this scripture in Isaiah 26: 19 today. -your dead ones will live..they will rise up..awake and cry out joyfully, you residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of mallows, and the earth itself will let even those impotent in death drop in birth.- This whole chapter is great actually. Very powerful and faith sustaining.

Funeral talk was tonight for Monique. The place was jam packed. It was announced that over 820 people were there. Good thing we have a double hall! and I have met her..just recently. Always smiling..I keep seeing her smiling in my mind.
