by I know that in the bible we're told to help out our brother (or sister) if they're in trouble, but if you saw someone that you didn't know on the street getting the living crap beat out of them, what would you do, honestly?

How many people are helping in the beating? Are they big people? What gender are they (while some think that shouldn't matter..it totally does)? Do I like this person who is getting beaten up? Whatever you do..don't do the Seinfeld thing of pointing and staring and all..that sends you to jail in some places.

Well if she was a girl and it was guys beating the living crap out of her.. i'd definatly call the cops... and then run over there and beat the crap out of those guys with my kung fu.
now if it was a guy getting beat up.. and assess the situation ( knock on some doors, look around for tools like a ninha would).. and then maybe run over there swinging and throwing.
yeah this reminds me of a time I was at a show a band was playing at. I was inside while it happened, but someone came in later and told me that some guys was slapping a woman and dragging her or something and everybody outside was just watching. I may not be "built", but I def. couldn't stand by and watch that happen. I would have grabbed some bigger friends of mine, had them back me up and then at the last minute, ran away. haha. but seriously, strength in numbers. you don't have to even lay your hand on someone to stop a situation like that.

I heard about a story recently - two guys were fighting in a bar and a girl tried to intervene and got stabbed in the chest....
its one thing talking about it and its definatly another thing when its actully happening
i would help as much as i could, like jumping in and smacking someone and bringing everyone who is with me to help. but what is the reason they were being beatin in the first place?
