      First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum of Art

October 5 Schedule of Evening Programs

8:00pm

Free Dance Lessons: Stepping Out Dance Studios will teach visitors the Charleston and other dances from the 20s and 30s.

9-11 p.m.

BMA Speakeasy Party: Costumes are encouraged as Brooklyn's own Swing Doctors perform jazz and blues.

All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Group tours may be

reserved by calling (718) 638-5000, ext. 234.



Directions: Subway: Seventh Avenue

express (1 or 2) to Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum stop; Lexington Avenue

express (4 or 5) to Nevins Street, cross platform, and transfer for the 1 or 2.

Bus: B71, B41, B69, B48. On-site parking available.

BMA has techno night and hip hop night. I was there one time and stella the beer company was there giving away free beers ( donation basis actually, which means FREE) and one idiot had got like a case of them and dropped all the bottles. the floor was littered with broken glass and beer. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
