16 is the pits!

krispykritter by krispykritter · Sep 23, 2002 · 270 views · Misc.

I'de have to say being sixteen is the hardest age, and i'm still only 16, myself. but then again, i'm already 16. You have freedom (if cleaning your room on your own is freedom). it's like you're in a play pen and you can reach your arms over, the side catches at your waiste, and if you fall outside the pen, someone comes over and puts you back in the pen. i know this a copied idea, but we should be ameobas until we're atleast 23!!! 23, why!? i'm not exactly quite sure, but i'm starting to think, put a cover over the play pen or let me out! of course there's no way i'm getting let out, heh, that's like a suicidal maniac being let out of the nut house. so if you see me with a pacifier you know why!!!!

when i was 16 i thought it was the the hardest age. then i cauople of years i trned 18 and found iut that 16 wasnt! 18 is a very tough age, but it has its ups too, i guess. So enjoy ur playpen (i soooo did not get that analogy) and leave me some apple juice.

thatdarngirl #2 thatdarngirlOG 2002

Hmm..yeah I do certainly remember my 16th year and wanting to put a gun to my head. But being 15 kind of sucked too. Being 17 has a few highs..like having the freedom to drive yourself anywhere you want but then your parents still trying to use their divine right as parents and say no.

delliott101 #3 delliott101OG 2002

Enjoy it while you can, Val... but I can see your point... too young to seriously date, so you are probably in chaperone mode and too young to drive. I enjoyed 16, especially since I was in biking distance of quite a bit ot do in Parsippany. Hang in there and don't wish your life away...

thefunkyfresh #4 thefunkyfreshFounder

yeah... i didnt have to much fun being 16 and 17. i think i took life a little too seriously. eventually i found out that you can't always do all the things you want to, and it's better to just be laid back and let life come to you.

ilikebirds #5 ilikebirdsOG 2002

Hmm i dont know about you all. but i thought being 1 and 2 were some hard ages. Man ! I had no idea what my parents were saying, i crapped myself everyday, i would just cry and cry all into the evening. I mean life was rough. When i wanted to go somehwere i couldn't even walk there. i just had to lay on my back all day. life stunk when i was 1 ... man.. that clearly was the hardest age. EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

highschool #5.1.1.1 highschoolOG 2002

I'm totaly seriuos too!!! I just read this again and... TEARS!!! AHAHAHA

ilikebirds ilikebirdsOG 2002

well i was dead seriuos. my first year of life was hard ! i couldn't even eat a steak because i had no teeth. I was only able to drink milk all day everyday... so frustrating. life sucked at 1.... however from 3 and UP .. life's a PEACH

jay79 #6 jay79OG 2001

I didn't really think any age was all that tough. I guess because there are so many kids in my house that my parents always worried about the younger ones more, and we pretty much had the freedom to do what we wanted, within reason. Just give it time...It'll get better. Enjoy the things that you can do at now, cause you'll never be 16 again. Man, I wish I was 16 again :-/

rocksupastar #7 rocksupastarFounder

yea when i turned 16 last week, it was cool for me too!!!!

highschool #8 highschoolOG 2002

16 ws rough for me, i just kept telling myslef, it'll be all over soon and i'll be old. And now i'm old. It's weird.

malibu #9 malibuOG 2001

actually i think 14 and stuff was really hard. now i can do a lot of stuff and i dont care so much what others think of me as long as i think i am doing good. so much less pressure to somebody else. and i have the same thing as jay79,so many little kids, my parents do worry and set limits but i am kinda just whatever i wanna do. i like it. i like it alot.

raerae #10 raeraeFounder

well, back in the day when I was 16, (yesterday) My life was ok. 14 and 15 stunk a lot, 16 was pretty good, had some freedom. I've been 17 for about 20 hours now and so far it's been the worst 20 hours EVER!!!! I failed my road test, and then found out i have to wait another TWO STINKING MONTHS for another appointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER GO TO WASHINGTON MOTOR VEHICLE THEY ARE SONS OF SATAN!!!!!!!

thatdarngirl #10.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

Aww Rachel I'm sorry!! You should reschedule for Randolph (even though its kind of far) the man-lady there that I had was really cool.

raerae #10.1.1 raeraeFounder

i did reschedule for randolph. believe me i wasn't going back to hades- i mean washington.

delliott101 #10.2 delliott101OG 2002

Oh, Rachel... I'm really sorry about the test. Just practice practice pratice... I think most people flunk their first time anyway! You'll get your licence next time round, just you see!

rocksupastar #10.2.1 rocksupastarFounder

i didnt, cause i rock the world!!!!

malibu #10.3 malibuOG 2001

what did you fail for?

raerae #10.3.1 raeraeFounder

parallel parking. i can do it in real life but i was so distracted and nervous. oh well

thatdarngirl #10.3.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

aww..I didn't do that right either! I got into the space but..like I was crooked and not really in the space right.

delliott101 #10.3.1.2 delliott101OG 2002

I think EVERYONE (except Mike 'cause he "rocks"... modest and humble li'l shaver he is...)fails parallel parking. When I took my test, the state temporarially phased out that part of the test, so I didn't have that part of the test! You'll get your licence on the next go around... I know it!

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

i didn't. i aced my test, even in my crappy old volvo that was impossible to shift in! most other people couldn't even drive that car

F
fionnaOG 2002

oh is that what happened? the DMV guys went, yeah his car stunk and he only ran 2 stop signs and 1 red light. but i blame the car, lets give him his licence.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

i dont think you understood me. i was saying it was a really hard car to drive, especially since i was just learning to drive a stick shift. but i aced it because i am the best driver in the world.

seit2see seit2seeOG 2002

hahahahahahhaa matt, are you sure about that? because as i recall, at a certain jeremy jenkins graduation party, it took you a smooth 330948534 manuvers to turn that hotrod around...

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

hahaha! why don't you shut up ryan!

reaf reafOG 2002

I'm with mike, I got mine first try to

rocksupastar rocksupastarFounder

thats cause we rock out!!!!

sux2beme #10.4 sux2bemeOG 2002

'sons of satan' <-- that's hilarious! i failed my test first time. i was sitting in the car, on line, waiting to move up. my mom went inside with my baby brother, dean. while the motorcycle in front of me was running the course, the lady kept staring at me. i thought she was staring because she wanted me to move up...so i did. FAIL!!! 'you moved the vehicle without a licensed driver present. you lose! now get out of the car!' it was humiliating!

malibu #11 malibuOG 2001

take a blink 182 lyric for upliftment " 16 just held such better days" they all wanna be you!

thatdarngirl #11.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

They just want to be 16 so when they're 'music' career (if you have the audacity to call it that) falls through they have their parents to still pay for their expenses.

malibu #11.1.1 malibuOG 2001

actually the song it is in is about sucide and they wish they were still sixteen because it was such a better time and "i never conquered when it came. 16 just held such better days. days when i still felt alive." they say 16 is an awesome age and they wish they still were b/c it made them happy.

thatdarngirl #11.1.1.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

They're obviously liars.

malibu malibuOG 2001

you're just jealous that their band is up and running and they get to play with midgets. oh excuse me little people.

thatdarngirl thatdarngirlOG 2002

I get to play with 'little people' all the time, they're called Ana Lisa and Melanie. Oh! and it turns out I'm shrinking, I'm now 5'1 1/2" with my shoes on when last time I checked I was 5'2" with my shoes off.

malibu malibuOG 2001

at least you now have the perfect car without air bags.

rocksupastar rocksupastarFounder

sounds like my car, cept its all busted up in teh front without air bags...

malibu malibuOG 2001

rocksupastar rocksupastarFounder malibu

malibu #12.1.1 malibuOG 2001

my mom and dad say, " you're too young to have a job. just enjoy your youth. no job for you!! we give you everything you need." i love it. i'm still a kid!! no resposnibility. soo great.

ilikebirds #13 ilikebirdsOG 2002

why complain about 16...makes no sense... you're 16... young , vibrant. world in your palms. wait until you're 80 and you just ate some corn and had a whole lot of prune juice. Then complain to me when you're laying face down and you have some grown man changing your adult diaper.

sux2beme #13.1 sux2bemeOG 2002

marking calendar... March 27... 2050...call up thai on my holographic vid phone... spit corn in his eye and pour prune juice down his bony backside...

sux2beme #13.1.1 sux2bemeOG 2002

oh wait... update calendar... didn't thai crack up his bike in that fatal fall accident in 2002?
