Police cars, flashing lights
by After 5 good years of driving, I was so proud of myself for never having been pulled over by a cop......
Early this morning, I was leaving rock supastar's house around 2:00 a.m., followed by delliot101 and web-toed chloe. No more than 5 minutes down the road, I see flashing lights and Dave and I pull our cars over, but the cop was after me. Quickly in my mind, I recap the past few miles and can't think of speeding or doing anything wrong.
The officer (very young and cute) approaches my car, takes my info and informs me that I didn't have my valid insurance card (I forgot to get the new one). He asks me to roll up my window and asks if that was tint on it and if I knew it was illegal. OF COURSE, I played dumb and said I didn't know it was illegal and that the car came that way when I bought it (which it did).
Long story, short[er]....he told me to fix the windows and get my new insurance card and he let me go with that!!!!
Funniest thing: I bet he heard my loud exhaust, saw the tinted windows and swore it was some loser guy driving around at 2 a.m. I think that's why he had a little smile on his face - he never expected to see a little innocent looking girl :)

I was paranoid.. I thought it was me at first, then he pulled over poor innocent Katie... I pulled off to make sure she was okay, her lights were all working and stuff and we were both going 40 mph... I waited a few minutes and called her cell phone, left a message and figured Di and Donovan would be pulling up the rear (in seperate cars, of course)...

ya know, i only had that car for 3 months, its so weird, its liek it never happend. plus i like my car alot better now. maybe bad things arent as bad as they seem! :)

I really thought that Katie had her hazard lights, and not just her blinker on, so I thought she had some kind of accident. When I saw her pulled over like that, I didn't want to leave in case it was some kind of accident, but I didn't want to pull up behind her in case she really was being pulled over. So I pulled into a liquor store and waited until Katie pulled in behind me and told me the tale. FYI-Donovan went home the other way. I expected an ambulance and Mike to pull onto the scene at any moment, so when Katie told me she was just pulled over for being a punk kid at 2 am, I was relieved. ;)
