A Phone Call away
Sometimes, it's bad to have your friends just be a cell phone call away. Today I went to call someone to see if they wanted to hang out tonight, and I hear *CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRK* *CRRRRRRRK* and all this static and I'm like "yo where ARE YOU?" and she's like "MAINE! MO-RON!" and i feel silly. So I guess she was unavailable. I wouldn't have had to call her if:
A. I paid attention to these posts on Ezabel instead of just what I write
AND
B. She didn't have her cell phone with her. Cause I would've been like "voicemail huh? I guess she's busy!"
Talkst among yourselves about annoying cell phone stories and such things.

i just got your message dan, i'll call u back tomorrow...
Actually Dan, that phone call made more damage than what you think. You should ask Tina why it's going to cost her $20/minute. hahaha
naah it won't cost her $20/minute. $0.69/minute max, that's what carriers charge to roam ...all except Nextel, of course...(all my years of being a wireless consultant JUST became useful!)
usefully geekish!
but isn't another country not considered roaming? my phone (verizon, mind you haha) doesn't charge me for roaming in the US but if I'm out of the country...that's a whole 'nother story. the problem w/ur call to tina was that the strongest tower in the area was one from Canada (we know this because her phone was on Atlantic time not Eastern). But now that I've explained so much, it's not funny anymore =(
agreed
i can't stand cell phones going off at the meeting. we've had two since the last service meeting part about it...
