disney magic

malibu by malibu · Nov 11, 2002 · 124 views · Journal

i recently (yesterday night) returned from the best trip to florida i have ever had. and it made me realize one huge thing. i am still so much of a little kid. no matter how mature or anything i could try and be- put me in disneyland and see me go wild. like apparently i was 90x more excited to be going there than my 10 year old cousin. i still whole heartedly believe in disney magic. what is disney magic you may ask? well disney magic is happiness. to do wild things that are off the wall, fun, magical, funny, scary. just perfect. like how they make the sidewalks and signs all twinkle but when you go up to them, you can't see any wires. i know how and what the realistic explanation is for all of it. but it still is so much more easier to explain it as disney magic. that is just my explanation for it. what really drove me wild and crazy though, was i seemed to be the only one who believes in this. as i mentioned, my cousins didn't. and since i went with all my cousins and my uncles and stuff didn't believe i was such like a little kid. they're saying was "i can't believe what you're sayin." Example? like when we went to universal and all that park was is explaining how they do all the movie effects for things such as twister and earthquake. that's movie magic which is not even near the same thing as disney magic. disney has people on stilts rapped in mesh, drums that spin on cars that people play. characters come to life. what i'm saying is, am i not supposed to be this childish? like i never thought i was supposed to be so grown up as not to believe in disney magic. or has nobody else even heard of the things forementioned in my ranting?

p.s. i also do realize how there is no such thing as magic and not to believe in such. i'm just sayin that's what i call all the spectacles that they put on that are beautiful.

i've never been to disney world... mikayla wants to take me. i've got that little kid inside me, too, malibu, and i know i'd get that same giddy feeling!

you know, when you're little, disney world is a little freaky. like, you see mickey on TV, and he's small and stuff, and then you get there, and you're not THAT big, but OH MY GOD MICKEY'S HEAD IS THE SIZE OF A REFRIDGERATOR CARTON!!!!!

i went to disney about 3 times when i was little but i hardly remember it. i definitely want to go now. i'd really like to hit Epcot. woowhooo i'm sure i'll appreciate it a lot more now as an adult. kids just like it because of the cartoons. which takes me to another subject....journal time!

I hate disney world kind of. I was so excited to go their last time but I don't remember being very happy. I was also a disgruntled chubby child at the time. I'm sure Island of Adventure must be cool, and it must be fun to take little kids there or to be there only with adults who act like little kids.

i hate disney world too! big stupid money making machine. I dont really like any theme parks anymore that much, but disney is the worst

i refuse to go to great adventure. i haven't been there since i was 11. also, i hate roller coasters. that may have soemthing to do with it.

i don't mind great adventure, but i can think of alot more fun things to do that don't involve handing over 75 bucks and then waiting in the heat in lines for hours to go on machines that shake you up and reduce your life expectancy a few years

Yeah..though I think I'd pay a lot to go to a good water park..like the worlds best water park. The very idea of a water park gets me excited. Semi-thrill rides mixed with water! You can swim in a fake ocean (aka wave pool) and not get sand all in your bathing suit OR you can sit in a tube and get all cute and tan while you travel around getting water sprayed on you (lazy river) and of course..slides galore. And one wasn't forget the kiddy section where they have those beyond awesome mushroom things that when I 'grow up' I must have in my backyard right next to my slip and side and easy bake oven shrine.
