fast food

I read on aol today, that there is a lawsuit against McDonald's for selling unhealthy food and that they blame the company for obesity and diabetes in children.

*shrug*

Unhealthy food at McDonald's??? Now THAT'S a news flash!

boredatwork #2 boredatworkOG 2002

That's stupid. Sue the parents that don't cook at home and make their kids eat that junk.

thatdarngirl #2.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

that junk tastes pretty good.

thatdarngirl #3 thatdarngirlOG 2002

This is something I don't understand, which doesn't have to do with the McDonalds thing but unhealthy eating in general. People make fun of me a lot for eating unhealthy and eating whatever my little heart desires whenever. My side is, my metabolism is working pretty good seeing as how I'm a teenager and if I eat a lot it usually doesn't show too much. So why not enjoy it while it lasts? I understand not over doing it cause then I'd be all glutton-like..and I understand eating stuff you need to make your bones strong..by why not have a class of milk with five cookies on the side?

mmmm. yeah, gotta agree there. wow, I really need to start a workout regimin while there's still a chance.
Maybe I can bring a bowflex on the train.

skaorsk8 #4.1.1.1 skaorsk8OG 2002

i dunno what a regimin is...is that like a vitavitavegamin?

deanh77 deanh77Founder

its kinda like regimen, but spelled wrong.
Your "I love lucy" reference is kinda like a joke, but gay.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

hahaha, man what a diss. anyhoo, it was "vita-meata-vegemin" as in vitamin-meat-vegetable-mineral

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

i think the real word is regiment...not that it matters now. WHY is that sugarcult song stuck in my head????????????????

deanh77 deanh77Founder

nope, sorry. regimen is a plan (usually to make you healthier or to strengthen yourself physically)

regiment is a group of soldiers.

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

hmm...you could be on to something.

I saw the article about this in yesterday's NY Post... these kids would eat 2 Big Mac value meals per day and they were like "Oh, we didn't know it was bad for you... we thought it was healthy!" I guess they didn't bother to read the big old "Nutrition Facts" poster the I see in every McDonalds I've been to...

This whole world is getting stupider by the day. Anyone can sue for anything and a lot of times win. That is just sick. Morons. How about trying exercise and some vegetables. Give me a break. Everyone wants to blame their own crappy parenting on someone else.

sux2beme #8 sux2bemeOG 2002

yeah, i heard that same thing. i think it's some fat people complaining that when they eat 3 big macs for lunch, they seem to gain weight.
