Smiley Man!
Ok so I have discovered Ezabel today...well actually I had seen it before, however at the time I thought "wow these people have a lot of free time"...now, I have some free time too!
It's weird, keeping a journal on someone else's site for once...I used to keep one on my own site but shoot, who wants strangers reading that kinda stuff and then emailing you and going "should you be playing Nintendo when you could be out in SERVICE!" (coughcoughHEATHERcoughcough)
Overall, it's nice to be back in America, because 7-11 and WalMart are here. At 2 AM when you need some beef jerky, you know where to go. Also I can go skiing without having to drive 9 hours to the upper reaches of Scotland. But I miss all my friends in England quite a bit- I haven't really found a group of friends here that I fit in with. I don't mean to bash any people I've met, but there are some BORING people around here. Who wants to sit around all night and stare at each other and say "what do YOU want to do?" And too many people who just want to drink LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS every night of the weekend. I don't fit in there.
Although, I like that people here talk about feelings more. And what makes them who they are. In England it seemed like, you had to hang out with people for ages before they would share. Or, it could have been that I didn't want to open up since "oh, it doesn't matter, I'm leaving soon anyway"...I actually dismissed that thought after about 3 weeks of my being there, cause I realized I wasn't going to have ANY friends...but, you still kinda say that subconscously (crap I can NEVER spell that word!) Here, I like that people can stay out till 2 AM at an improv comedy club, DOING something...that's cool. You know what? I would probably be a crappy lawyer cause I take both sides of every issue.
So, hope everyone has had a good day so far, and if you meet any people who don't sit around and stare at each other all night, and don't drink like nutcases, let me know.
