New School
OK guys so we had the new Theocratic Ministry School tonight. It was REALLY interesting, because it was different. But there a few points you guys gotta keep in mind, otherwise you're gonna be bored out of your mind.
1. First, there is a discussion about the speech quality. Bring your Ministry School book, otherwise you're done.
2. For the Bible Highlights, there are questions. Two major questions get asked every week- "what did you learn about Jehovah and his qualities?" and "how is your faith stregnthed through reading these chapters"? In order to answer this, you HAVE to read the chapters assigned, and MEDITATE on them. The society suggests not to read them all in one sitting, but like, a chapter a day. Not that difficult. This way you have lots of time to think about it.
3. For the 3 and 4 talks, this is pretty cool. You don't get ANY assigned material some weeks- just a theme. So it's not right or wrong, whatever you talk about, as long as it's along the lines of the theme. I love it!
Anyway, our school was REALLY interesting and I'm glad we have some new stuff. Oh and my friend Matt has the new WT CD ROM and he's bring it for me tomorrow. I'll copy it if anyone wants it- cause it has all the hard words pronounced in audio files. Gotta love that.

why'd you have your new school? it's not the new year yet
yea i was thinking that too....
seriously, bunch of cheaters!!! what the hey!?
we had the C.O. and when you have the C.O. you can never have the written review. It's some kind of rule. (I call it the rotten review anyway.)
* *
werent you supposed to have written review tonight? whats that about?
bump...what's the frequency, son?
why dont you just go to brooklyn and get the cd rom yerself? its not like its that far away... its kinda weird to copy the society's cd rom... i dunno...
yea dude... it is kinda uncool to do that... anybody can just order a copy from their local hall if they want one
the person who works at my literature counter is a mo-RON. He was like..."oh yeah, you can order that now..", i'm like "You want me to wait LONGER??"
you dont live THAT far from bethel lol you act like its across the country.
any bethelites in your hall? they always hook me up with stuff. nice having guys on the inside.
actually i go to the only hall within like a 50 mile radius that doesn't have bethelites...the next hall to the north, south, and west all have bethelites. we are eqi-distant from walkill, paterson, and brooklyn. how odd.
yea it def is... but the only thing is, sometimes friends who are in bethel get things for you and then the bethel couple in your hall wants to give the same thing to you... i feel bad when that happens... :0/
oh please, poor poor you.... sheesh
Um... you shouldn't have had your new School yet... even if you had a CO visit or anything. It's supposed to start next week... Written Review is this week...
BTW, copying the WT CD-ROM contitutes copyright infringement... yeah, I know we d/l MP3s and stuff, but to copy the WT CD seems like, well, stealing from Jehovah...
well technically it wouldnt, because what about the bible, doesnt jehovah want everyone to be able to have one and read it? wouldnt that apply to all the societys books at literature? BOOYAH BUDDY!
Uh, yeah, we aren't supposed to make unauthorized copies of the publications... that's why every book you see (including the NWT) has a copyright inside. The Bible is pretty much public domain, but technically if you were to make copies and distribute them, you would need to get clearance from the copyright holder of that translation first. That's why when the Organization wanted to print different Bible translations in the past (Diaglot, King James, Bible in Living English, etc) they went to the copyright holders of that version first, before they went ahead and published them.
Oh yeah, that's why when you install the WT Library for the first time on your PC it tells you not to make copies, since it's illegal and unfair...
BOOYAH back to you!
yeah so it says dont' make multiple copies, big deal, so does windows XP....anyway, the WT CD lets you install it on multiple comps, and you never need the CD again, so i dont have to copy, just install it.
Really? I don't know how that works, since I always need to have the WT CD in my CD ROM drive for it to work... that's the way it's designed...
yeah...if u want to copy 800mb of data to your hard drive...you can do that with the 99 cd too
i think you all should TAKE IT UP WITH THE JEHOVAH!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOYAHHHHHHH
You tell 'im Mikey!
(can u delete the 'the'?)
why dont you shut your pie hole....
Would you send WTL to me as an email attachment? Thanks. (gb@watchtower.org)
very good....very very good
I can't wait for the new school---everything the society has been encouraging lately brings us in a closer relationship with Jehovah and to show others how to do so as well. We study the Draw Closer to Jehovah book as a family after brunch on Sunday before our meeting and it is so wonderful to meditate on our God's qualities. What a privelege we have to serve him! You know what's also a great thing to consider while you do your Bible reading-those questions from the United in Worship book. I made a bookmark of them and put it in my Bible. It really helps to make your reading meaningful.
