by so today on my day i took off from school i was flippin channels and on one of those E! True Hollywood Story things there was the story about a movie called Diner. it had all these then unknowns like Paul Reiser, Kevin Bacon and all these other people. It was a movie about guys hanging out and bein best buds. To me the movie seemed genious because whenever we go out, we go to a diner (we have been to everyone in a 30 mile radius). but i only saw the beginning of the show and then i had to leave for my dentist appointment, so my question was: has anyone ever seen this movie? or heard of it? and if you have do you fell its a good one? or something that's appropriate to watch?

I never saw it but I heard it was a brilliant movie.... I think it came out in the early '80's... but Reiser and Bacon weren't unknowns... Reiser was in Beverly Hills Cop and Bacon was in Footloose (and TV's Guiding Light soap opera) prior to this movie IIRC...
i believe beverly hills came out a couple of years after diner. same thing with footloose. at the time of diner, these guys were fairly new actors. other newcomers in diner were steve guttenberg, dan stern, mickey rourke, tim daly, and ellen barkin. (imdb.com)

no i meant that the diner movie was r. i've seen outsiders, made me a little mad cuz they just pulled dumb stuff and all the grease, even though they were greasers, was too much. they needed more than a shower.
oh such a good book and movie i read and watched it in skool in like 8th grade soooo good
