Pounds and computers
by This morning at the gym I weighed myself and two more pounds are gone!!
And in more exciting news, I did computer work today. We don't have an IT department and we use an outside consultant that charges exuberant amounts. And they know I'm MCSE. So they asked me to fix a problem. I fixed it in 10 minutes. Saved the company lots of money. Thought, I should be making more money.
Since I've been going to the gym I've been watching things like TRL and listening to "top 40 radio stations" cos that's the only thing they have at the gym... so I'm actually exposed to pop culture. I found that J.Lo CANNOT SING, Shania Twain is really annoying, and I love Kid Rock.
This morning on the way to work I saw something GROTESQUE. I guess there's an abortion clinic around here. There was a man standing on the street with a HUGE and I mean HUGE poster of an abortion. It must have been like that late-term kind, it was a fully-developed baby's head, all bloody, SO GROSS. HUGE POSTER. That's what I saw on the way to work.

i used to be such a big sheryl crow fan and then i read this rock n roll book and it had this guys obituary. it was basically the guy she used to record her first big album, all his friends, all his ideas, even the album name was "tuesday nights" was the group he put together on tuesday to help her. he got most of the credit but as soon as she made it big,and to this day she to this day refuses to talk about him.
wow. i have a lot to say about sheryl crow. first, i thought tuesday night music club was awesome. "if it makes you happy" was the worst crap i've ever heard on the radio. have you ever heard her do "the joker"? (steve miller re-make?) AMAZING. SIMPLY AMAZING. Unreleased, somehow. I dont' know how that happened. But, I will settle for her "Sweet Child of Mine" because her voice is better than Axl's.
