More Funner Summer than a Bummer
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen... (this is my first story so bear with me please!)
ahem!
So I had this idea about writing about the summer and then I refreshed my page... and it looks like I'm not the only one with the bright idea (man Ian! why did you get that Brain Snorter 3000?)
Anyway the reason why I'm writing an article is because it's almost the end of the summer and I think this has been one of the best summers yet. Why? You might ask...well ill tell you!
Well, to start things off... Last September started with a BANG of new pioneers! FOUR in my congregation alone! Since I didn't have the right circumstances at the time I wasn't able to then... but, in May, I was able to join the ranks of one of 15 reg. pioneers in my congregation. This has been an awesome privilege. And has made my summer valuable.
Also! I graduated this year, sorta {class of 2001.... home skooler} but not only did I graduate, I think everyone did! From May 29th til the first weekend in August... there has been Graduation party after graduation party, and more yet to come...(ie:Robyn, Mike, Jahanna, Vanessa, Jamie, Jen, Bob, Brandon T, Nicole, Amanda, Karl, Dan, Shannon, Liz...etc) So that made for an interesting and majorly broke summer.
Not only parties made this summer but also concerts were a big part! Absolute Zero played at the Saint (I was the short girl standing on the chair in the back-way back...ugh) Some other interesting concerts that I attended were Good Charlotte & MxPx,Goldfinger & Reel Big Fish (who could forget the three chicks in zebra pants for Zebra Head), NFG & Blink, American Hi-Fi & Everclear (getting those tickets from G1063's karaeoke contest)Also the Warped Tour featuring such bands as Me First & The Gimme Gimme's, Pennywise, The Ataris, Jimmy Eat World, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake...etc.
What else made this summer unforgettable? GOING TO THE BEACH! Island Beach was the place to be this summer! Sea Side....walking around wasting money, learning Jesse & I have the same "theorys" AND! It's where I met a couple of you fellow eZabeler's!
Which brings me to another HUGE difference of this summer! BECOMING PUNK PRINCESS ON EZABEL! (okay maybe not HUGE...but it was a difference) Instead of hearing the names of people in passing conversation, or just knowing them by their login name, I'm actually starting to meet some new faces from this website! Which has been awesome.
Well... this pretty much wraps up the summer.
I hate goodbyes... so here's part of "The Goodbye Song" by NFG
In the bright of day
It might seem like the stars are gone.
They never leave,
They come back when the sun moves on.
It's over now.
You watched me as I turned around.
It's not why, but how
The light is on.
I'll come home now.
HAVE A HAPPY FALL :-D
