Poll: Will you travel in an airplane anytime soon?
by We certainly had a lot of votes on our previous poll, "Are you married?" We also had a lot of controversy about the choices on the poll, but I guess everybody voted anyway. Well, 50% of eZabel users are not married, and 22% are Single White Females in search of Single White Males. VERRRY interesting. Note, this does not include Single White Females in search of Single YELLOW Males, as some people would expect. We had 3 votes total for Engaged, and I know that two of them were Mikayla and myself, haha. Who was the anonymous 3rd engaged person? Hm?
So, anyway, time for the new poll. This poll is related to the terrorist attacks using hijacked planes to accomplish their mission. This whole ordeal has undoubtedly affected every one of our lives in a very real way, and will definitely affect us in even more ways in the near future, I believe. One such way is air travel. What limited travel is now being allowed is extremely tight on security. Plastic knives are not allowed on the airplanes. No longer can you check in on the curb of the terminal, or venture past the metal detectors to meet your loved one as they depart or arrive.
This has put a scare into many, many people, and I'm sure some that may have already been wary of air travel are now even less likely to choose an airplane over other forms of travel. So, how do you feel about it? Vote on the poll, and let's see.

Tina, do you actually think they are going to bomb Italy. Italy is the best country in the world, (Im not being nationalistic or anything, just stating my opinion) and they would never touch Italy. You know why?? Cause they are filled with Italians, which are the greatest people ever!

giacomo, why do you have to always be so condisending. loosen up a little. yes... i tina morriale... actually have a FEAR. NOT that italy will be bombed but that when i leave to go to europe, i might not return b/c some misfortune might occur that my mothers building where SHE works might get bombed. what if THAT happend. im not concerned mearly for my own well being, but also for those who are close to me...while im away.

Not to freak you out really by this but I've been keeping an eye on Europe news as well because I'm supposed to go in December. I also am quite leery about the trip because in Milan, Italy they received 3 bomb threats and Rome has had some bombing going on. So to be safe, I would check the news out to see what's going on overseas. We probably are safer over there than here because people are more adjusted to warfare in other countries more than the US, but getting home might be a problem. Safe traveling :)

yea and i heard on CNN that in some internation flight after the tragedy. some dudes brough on the spanish v on a flight.. and hijacked the plane and tortured victims.. the plane no doubt went right into the ground and killed all 56 passengers.. anyway the SPANISH V .. is a took about 4 feet high and it's an INVERTED V where the tortee sits on top of the V while they plant heavy weights on the victims legs.. so that their body rips into while the victim still screams in pain..
OUCH.. thats all i have to say.. what a cruel stinking world.. man..

bring on the hijackers! I've played Microsoft Flight Simulator before, so I'll fly the plane after the hijackers are incapacited by my superior judo knowledge, in case the pilots are out of commission.

I HAD FRIENDS THAT WENT TO MYRTLE BEACH VIA AIRPLANE A FEW DAYS AGO. WELL, MY FRIENDS DAD KEPT ON GOING THROUGH THE METAL DECTOR THING AND IT KEPT ON GOING OFF LIKE 4 TIMES, SO A MESS OF SCARY GUYS ESCORTED HIM TO A PRIVATE ROOM AND STRIP SEARCHED HIM!!! HERE HE HAD STEEL TOE SHOES. BUT THEY ARE VERY PROTECTIVE NOW. US GIRLS CAN'T EVEN HAVE OUR MAKEUP THAT HAS ANY MIRRORS OR GLASS!!! MY FRIEND ALSO SAID THERE WERE 2 MEN IN FULL ARMY UNIFORM WITH HUGE GUNS-1 IN THE FRONT OF THE PLANE AND 1 IN THE BACK. SO I THINK WE ARE TOTALLY SAFE TO FLY AGAIN.
scary though, if a gun is fired in an airplane and breaks a window, the cabin will depressurize and everyone will die anyway...

i wonder how long all of this will last. i really don't think that people will get used to armed guards on airplanes, and all of the extra security. i think it will make people feel good now and for a little while, but it will get old fast. and mandie, i hope you know that typing in ALL-CAPS IS EQUIVALENT TO YELLING!!!!

Karl Jensen & I were out doing street work this morning and saw the local "news channel 12" doing interviews on Main St (metuchen). So, we casually walked by just to see if they would ask us to do an interview. And they did! The woman asked us both if what happened at WTC will effect our airplane traveling. I said that I am scared, and since i have a trip in may planed, i dont know what im going to do. Then Karl all sounded smart & used big words...grrr! but in the end she took a magazine!! NICE!
