I had a BLAST!
So, last night, I went to go see the Broadway play : CHICAGO . It was definitely interesting. I would not, though, recommend it to a younger audience. But it was interesting, surprisingly comical, and had amazing choreography. It wasn't the BEST play i have ever seen, but i would like to recommend seeing any Broadway play right now.
Anyway, the real reason why I'm writing this story is because right now you can get AMAZING tickets without waiting on a list for a year. Last night, we had orchestra seats, which usually you CANNOT get right away. So, I recommend seeing ANY Broadway plays right now. My suggestion: get a group together, get dressed up, rent a limo, go to the city, eat at a fancy restaurant, and see an amazing play!
Plays (on Broadway) I would suggest:
Phantom of the Opera (the BEST play I have EVER seen!)
BLAST! (their final performance was September 23rd)
Swing! (amazing choreography!)
Jekyll & Hyde (Sebastian Bach from Skid Row played Jekyll & Hyde, now David Hasselhoff does...instead of turning into Hyde, he turns into Michael Knight...haha (thanks Ian))
(this isn't running anymore on Broadway)
Right now Broadway is SLOOOOOOOOWly getting back to normal, but they were hit really hard b/c all the tourists don't want to come to NYC. So take this opportunity! Get off your butt! Go see a play!!!!

WOW, that was the BEST NEWS STORY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would you suggest Broadway plays for us to go see, and yet two of them are no longer on Broadway?? Are you just bragging about all the plays you went to see, regardless of whether or not they fit into your "On Broadway" list? Eh?
IFFFFFFFFFFFFF they return (as many have) you should take that oppertunity to see them. "Hello Dolly" for instance, was not running for a couple of years, and then it returned to broadway w/ Carol Channing... MAYBE it'll come back. Blast! was only on for a little while, if that comes back you should DEFINATELY see that!!!
ALSO! if theyre ever OFF broadway... DEFINATELY see them!
DEFINITELY is what i meant to say in both comments, 3 & 4.
good catch, punk princess
Hey Tina, Im thinking we should get people to go see these shows.Like a group or something, I think there is a group discount if we get like 20 or so people, that would be cool.
YES! ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND! Students also get a discount!! How awesome is that?!
So, lets set something up...Is the Phantom still on??
Phantom isn't playing anymore right? I have always wanted to see it, but never got to. I thought that it was over, but it would be very nice if i was wrong. :)
Phantom is still playing on Broadway.. I don't know about Pittsburgh though
YEEEEEEEES IT IS!!! click on THIS link to Phantom!! If, you cant get to the city, atleast buy the sound track its AMAZING!
Anybody ever actually walk out on a play on Broadway? (or other expensive show)
Yea i have on many occassions....
CATS is by far the dumbest thing every imagined, and if I had no respect for my aunt and uncle who got me the tickets......I would have been SOOOO out of there. TERRIBLE, I give CATS an "L" for LOUSY!
LOL! i knoooooooooooow! how did that show stay sooooo long in commision!?
Exactly the play I was thinking of. Yvette Poole and I went to see Cats last year... we walked out during intermission. I always thought it would have been so cool from the TV commercials (when I was 5) and the music always seemed so magical (when I was 5)... I just think that in the 16 years that passed between my "magical" phase, and my "drinking" age, Cats just got LAME!
hahahaha.... sooooo funny
My best Fl jdub buddie...is doing "Blast" next year in NY. I saw it down here...it's awsome!! kinda like Band camp meets the circus. If my recommendation means anything...check it out.
Well i must agree with TIna, Chicago defitely was a good play! So was the Phantom, and i also enjoyed Smokey Joe's Cafe, Swing was SOooo good!, But i'd have to say Personally that Miss Siagon was THE BEST play ever! But Sadly it has left Broadway, but like Tina mentioned hopefully this is one of those Plays that will be shown once again on Broadway if it is i am going! But going to see a broadway paly going out to dinner in the City with a group of good friends is a sure good time! but be sure to bring ID if you go anywheres in the City i was there a few days ago and was asked for ID...but have fun if you plan on going sometime...
i've got to agree. miss saigon was awesome! i cried for so long at the end, though. it really made me sad. :(
good story tina... why don't you just send us to our DEATH to a global war target! suuuuure go see plays, help the economy, be true americans, spend money!! it all sounds well and good. but PAGAN!
i never ONCE said help the economy!!!!!!!! I SAID TAKE ADVANTAGE WHILE YOU CAN GET GOOD SEATS!!!!!!!!!!! plus.... what weirdo in their right mind is going to target a random play house...
well terrorists arent very normal either... so i wouldnt put it past them.
Theres a buy one get one free on Beauty and The Beast Broadway tickets....lets go!
i totally want to do the limo, dinner, play thing..
if anyone's intersted.. probably cost you 250 bucks that night.

Yea! i woudl be up for that....we did that 2 years ago...got all dressed up...rented a limo went to a really fancy cuban restaurant then to see phantom then dancing at the marriot...quite awesome! it didnt cost us quite that much though....
SERIOUSLY lets do this! I know a couple of really good restuarants too! maybe we can plan for it in like December? LETS DO THIS!!!
December sounds good to me....Lets do it!!

my path stays straight on my rumblin quest
i'm having a ball and i'm here in the flesh
