Local Plane Crash
Just heard from my mom that a plane crashed in Byram yesterday. (that's where my family lives, a few miles from where I'm living now)
"I was leaving the ShopRite when tons of fire and police people were flying down 206 and Lackawanna drive. Later we could smell the smoke from them putting out the fire. I thought it was a house, but heard on radio this morning that it was a plane.", she told me.
The Daily Record has a story on it here.
"A small plane crashed into the yard of a Dorchester Manor home on Sunday evening and burst into flames, killing two adults and critically injuring two children on board.
No one on the ground was injured when the Piper Saratoga crashed into the quiet Sussex County neighborhood soon after the pilot reported that the plane's engine was running roughly and asked to be directed to the nearest airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration."
Definitely not what you expect to hear. I feel sorry for the people involved, and I hope the kids make it.

That's pretty much right near me too.... I was sound asleep at that time... weird. Hope any survivors will make it!
This was all a major plot created by me. I was trying to knock off the porrino family by hiring a plane to crash into their house. It obviously didn't work.
haha. actually it was close. our bus rides through this area to get to school. the woods were still smoldering. although the lenape rumor mill came up with more creative stories about this. ex.-they let the 6 year old drive because they figured they were over the lake and it just dove in. i hate it when i hear stories from kids because they said all these weird stories without the facts. thanks ian!
brandon told me that it landed on some guy's shed....who had just finished building it about ten minutes before the plane crashed...talk about ironic.
a little TOO ironic, yea i really do think
