What do you think of Kmart's new logo and stores?
As you may know, Kmart is recovering from bankruptcy. Kmart is testing a new brand image with some revamped stores, such as in White Lake Township, Michigan.

we have a walmart real close to us. it's got half-a-supermarket, making it a Not-A-Normal-But-Not-So-Super-Walmart. that place saves us so much money!! prices are literally half what you could get them for at the A&P or ShopRite stores right by us.

I think walmart is pretty great, too. it saved me and my brother when we kept breaking down on our way home from chicago. sadly, we don't have one down by us though :(
well, here's the thing. is wal*mart 'so great' because it's new? or is it genuinly that good?
when i first moved to fords, i did ALOT of shopping at Kmart to get stuff for my apartment. i got alot of stuff on sale; everything was reasonable; i saved alot of money. that was before i ever shopped at a wal*mart.
since then, i've been to a wal*mart. and to me, it's just a bigger, brighter kmart. so if kmart becomes bigger and brighter, why wouldn't they be equal to wal*mart? is it because kmart has served it's time, and there's too many 'kmart jokes' out there?
Yeah, Wal*Mart IS newer and bigger than Kmart, but they also have attitude, like they go out of their way to assist you (marketing) and they have a lot of inexpensive stuff. Kmart just seems old and run down...

As a Graphic Design genius I speak with the highest authority when I say that Kmart's new logo is one of the most technologically advanced breakthroughs of the twentieth century.
But honestly it looks good the new color scheme is nice it reminds me of BP/Amoco's new logo.
I was thinking that, well the latter part at least. Those colors definetly get people's attention because they stand out against all the other basic colors like the plain yellow sign for Shell for example. I think it's ugly once it does catch your attention but that's really not the point.
