ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

deanh77 deanh77Founder

my xterra eats snow for breakfast. I can't believe how many 2 wheel drive cars I saw when I went out yesterday. so stupid. most of them were stuck on the side of the road or stuck on the exit ramps on 287 and 23. (I think the snow plow guys decided to put all the snow on the ramps, it was crazy)

rocksupastar rocksupastarFounder

Snow was insane... the whole time i was shovelling, i would just turn around and there would be MORE snow like i didnt shovel

deanh77 deanh77Founder

my arms are so sore. good bicep workout though.

So at around 8 last night I went out to play in the snow with my sister and father. We decided to try and build a snow man in the middle of the road and then sit back and watch the plow run over it. Two problems with that master mind idea. One-the snow was waaaay to powdery and it was just a big pile instead of a man (we called it mount doom). Two- just about when we were finished a snow plow drives by and yells at my dad telling him we're not allowed to pile snow in the middle of the road like that. Cool, so we had to shovel it all back to the side again.

u guys are just livin on the edge! what rebels!

delliott101 delliott101OG 2002

After work this morning, I went down by my dad as I had to change his car battery... this old lady was shovelling out the next car over and I was complaining about the snow... she said "When I was a little girl in Lithuania, right on the Russian border, the snow would cover the houses up to the roof. We would have to tunnel our way out. The snow would not melt until April."
Made me realize it ain't so bad here, but I STILL HATE THE SNOW!!!!

deanh77 deanh77Founder

haha. thats awesome. geeze. I used to live in VT. this is normal for me. I guess its just different because everyone here needs to commute on the highways and depend on them so much.

punkprincess punkprincessOG 2001

deanh77 deanh77Founder

ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

once, when i was walking home from school, my friend and i were jumping up and down on this pile of snow in the street. we were playing king of the mountain. it was great until my foot when THRU the pile...and thru the plastic rear window of someone's convertible! we ran an ran an ran an ran an ran an ran.

magnum magnumOG 2001

iwz iwz

hahahh that's so funny.. i hate when things like that happen

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

so i just went with my sister to see if we could get my car from the KHall parking lot. it took us like 10 minutes to get there when it usually takes about 2. once we got there we saw my pobrecito tito surrounded by about 4 feet of snow on all sides. guess i won't be able to go to work today.

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

ahhh the taurus SHO with 24 valve something or other car sounding, i dunno

deanh77 deanh77Founder

like, omigod. 10 whole minutes.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

nice tone there bub.

deanh77 deanh77Founder

haha. couldn't pass it up.

rocksupastar rocksupastarFounder

dean is the queen of sarcasm....

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

that's fine---i realize i have a horrible jersey accent and overuse the word "like"

mandie mandieOG 2001

holy moly, I was stuck in my driveway yesterday. we had alot of drifts on the driveway, there had to be at least a foot of snow.

ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

those pics are great, ian...i shoulda thought of that b4 i shovelled my car out

ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

...just spent 4hrs shovelling. i think i'm gonna have some tea

beachbum beachbumOG 2002

man this was so much fun. monday we were jumping off my brother's work van into the snow drifts on the side. a neighbor videotaped us-i guess he thought we were amusing. then there was deck & ladder diving. good times for sure. Everyone in the tristate area was at creek yesterday-where were you then magnum? It sucked til later at night when everyone left anyway.

magnum magnumOG 2001

i was still diggin out some more snow, and i dont trust my rwd car day after we get like 2 feet of snow... didnt wanna get stuck anywhere

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

jumping off the deck or garage into drifts is fun

beachbum beachbumOG 2002

we got out the ladder to climb onto the garage and jump but my mom saw us and came out and yelled. so we just jumped off the top of the ladder which was almost as high as the roof anyway. only the ladder is shaky even w/ 2 people holding it so it was more like falling off. it was fun anyway.

ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

i used to jump off garages when there was NO snow...large neighbor's cars make great landing platforms

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

wow, calling your neighbors fat like that. just wrong.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

we have a barn and a chicken coupe in my backyard that are right next to eachother, when it snowed alot we'd have so much fun, jumping from one to the other and sliding off them...we'd always start with the chicken coupe cuz the barn was much higher...that took guts. :)

skaorsk8 skaorsk8OG 2002

guts, yes. however, you are still a spineless coward capable of nothing. (i say this because you continually IM me on my "secret" work IM name while i am trying to work and THEN you sold my IM name to Tina for 30 silver pieces.)

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

hahahahhaha! i feel so special that i know it....I'm not a betrayer, Tina is a sneaky thief! she asked me...who's PHILL? cuz if you look quick, thats what it looks like, then she figured it out....sorry Danner.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

so i was talking to Gram and she told me how even though she's a little old lady she's still with it...these boys went and shoveled her friend Kay's walk and driveway for 20 bucks. so Kay calls Gram and tells her she's sending the boys down the block to her. when they get to Gram's door they offer to do her walk for 30 bucks. Gram says "i'm sorry boys but i can't afford that i will give you 20 dollars" (now i told Gram she should've only given them 15 since they tried to trick her) so they finish and go to get paid. Gram gave them 20 dollars and a hershey bar. she said "it was so nice of you to shovel Kay's walk and now mine--she called me and let me know you were coming"

ok4now ok4nowOG 2002

BUSTED! (ur right...she shoulda said $15).

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

Gram is so awesome...at one point i realized she must've been sitting there waiting for me to reply to her emails so she could reply right back-that's why i picked up the phone and called her
