I dont know if you guys heard about this or are following it, but, Nasa second successful mission to mars is all over the the media since Saturdays touchdown of the Spirit Rover. The pictures that it sent back are incredible. The landscape and scenery are just amazing. After years and years of disapointing failed missions that either ended in crashes or the recent Beagle 2 incident... there were many doubts of if this mission would succeed. Today is going to be its first real day of exploring and taking pictures. Scientists are hopeful in finding traces of water on this planet in hopes to prove that Mars was once a planet this could have supported life.

I'm not really impressed with this whole mars thing. Why don't they use the techonology for something useful, like flying cars that are powered by the sun..or floating houses.
Its cause tehy are trying to prove that there is life on Mars. Im impressed that they can get a piece of machinery on another PLANET, AND... they have an interplanetary network of sorts.. and THATS pretty cool....
I'd be impressed if they could make me an Instant Transmission device.
