Im really REALLY looking forward to this year. We are starting some planning for a boarding trip, which is sizing up to be the BEST trip ever. We are gonna go up to Maine to a resort called Sunday River

We're heading to Vermont in January with a group....should be fun.
Especially because the only time I attempted snowboarding, I had to stop about an hour into it to take a sick friend home.....2 hours away.

hahaha you did go down-only it was backwards and not on purpose. when josh flipped over in the raft i think i couldn't breath for like 5 min from laughing so hard. i wish i had a camera at that moment.

it seriously doesn't look like we're going to get much rain, therefore no snow. only manmade and thats not cool.

manmade is the worst. it hurts, there's dry patches....my list can go on and on.
one day when you ride east coast, you'll be thankful for man made. You have no idea what rough riding is. Here you need to have wheels on the bottom of your board, because you're most likely going to hit dry spots. Here you need full armor to protect you from the solid ice. Here you need to be tough.
yeah... its not fun to be bombing a hill, hit some chopped up ice and rock and do some cartwheels down it, or even better slide on your butt... i guess its ONE way to shave it.. but i mean, id rather wax...
ha! Mike, we don't even fall when we hit ice, because we are conditioned riders. (we don't really know what to do when we hit actual fluffy powder...but that's a totally different story.)
actually the whole idea of mtn creek is that its a giant bobsled course. You just bomb down the whole mountain, minor speed checks but no real carving. You just race to the bottom for fear of attempting to stop might mean certain death. I think it takes maybe 2 mins max if you go full speed from top to bottom.
yeah i took a nice 4 foot drop onto solid ice onto my back, it tickled a little bit but because im used to east coast conditions i got up and kept on trucking
yes!! when i was learning vanessa told me"whenever you heard the board scraping it means ice." the entire ride down the mountain it was scraping.

Im always siked when it starts getting chilly, cause all that i think about is snowboarding, even though I HATE the cold I love snowboarding. I have decided to go hardcore this winter, since I have been married I haven't and Im annoyed at myself. So Im maken this winter the winter of my return!
WE have so much going on this winter for us already with trips. I just HOPE a snowboarding trip can be squeezed in. We really want to try and make it out to colorado or whyoming, since brandon has family out there it makes it easier. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope we can get out there.
Other than that it'll just be much mountain creek and hunter mountain I hope.
I hope we have agreat season for it too!
