WOW, what an awesome device. i think you really have to watch the demos to get a full sense of what the phone is all about. just reading about it doesn't nearly do it justice.

Belive it or not Cingular is a sweet union job. Also you get unlimted minutes nd a free phone. Basically if apple gets sued it will be similar to the ntp, rim case. Rim settled and played ntp alot of money.
If cisco was gonna do it and had the technology and process for tenn years why did they sit on it. Basically cisco can only sue or the idea. If they win waht apple made and continues to make will far out weigh what they have to pay in they lose suit.
Basically its like robbing a band serving ten years hiding the money and when you come out of prison wow instant one million. Apple knew what they were doing but the pros far out weighed the cons a calculated risj if you will.
it's close to the rim - ntp thing, except that was over technology, this is pretty much over a name. they don't want confusion because both deal with a phone and the internet.

I work for Cingular lol as of last month. Oh baby I cant wait. Now your gonna hate me.I get a free one thats right when it comes out I say hey let me try that apple phone. All this talk about it is sounding like ching Ching. Coopertae office said to us its slated for June. Thats if it passes testing. Cingular rejects more phones then it approves. But this phone will be passed at june the latest. The only reason I know that is because this the most anticipated phone ever and they well cant wait to make money.
Its the only phone we have over here that rivals phones in japan and so on. The technology is sick.
Price point is 499.99 for the 4gb on a 2 year contract.
599.99 for the 8gb version.
Heres my recommendation.
Wait on this phone when it comes out.
Why you ask, well phones that are ground breaking when they first come out have tons of bugs so you hate it at first for not being what it can be. This phone is so advanced, that they cant test the phone but they ahve know way of seeing how the will react from every day consumer use on a wide scale. Dont be a giney pig.
Wait 2 or 3 months. By that time it will drop in price maybe and most importantly the bugs should be worked out. First Generation (first genration the first batch of phones they realse to the public)phones always have bugs ie the first treo with windows, it froze like a fat kid licking a flag pole. The razrs when they first came out did the same thing they stunk and they sold for 500.00 a pop. Later on though they dropped in price then everything was a ok.

Heres one morsel, a cool feature the phone has is a proximity sensor. Basically say your using the phone and your playing with your files , music whatever you get a call when you put up to your face the phone knows automtically to dim the light based on how close it is to you face.
So many crazy things and its ultra slim for such a phone. Windows lol Please.

Totally agree with not getting the first ones, its going to be such new technology that there will be bugs gallore. Even though apple rocks, you can't get everything perfect on the first try.
