i think it's kinda of a joke dude

fivezero #1.1.1 fivezeroOG 2003

ohhh, then we can dig it

tesoro #2 tesoroOG 2001

to my knowledge..at least amoung young people no one asks eachother out on "dates" anymore. its all like group things...or once you're ALREADY dating..then you go on "dates" but then why would you want to get out of it?

non applicable poll giac.

How can you be dating someone if you've never asked them out on a date? Group things are certainly important for getting to know someone, but eventually you have to actually ask them out before you can be considered "dating".

tesoro #2.1.1 tesoroOG 2001

dude, you dont read before you reply...i didnt say people dont ask eachother out...

they dont meet someone for the 1st or 2nd time and say.."would you liek to go to dinner and a movie with me saturday night?" thast what they dont do.

I read what you wrote before I posted, and I read it again just now, and I stand by what I said. You didn't say anything about it being the first or second time they meet. You implied that no one ever asks someone out on a date whom they are not already dating, and that's just ridiculous.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

USUALLY...when a guy/girl like someone..they'll call them up to hang out with them and some friends..which is really not considered a date, i dont think.

i never hear of "blind date" kinda things..ever.

I guess I see it differently. If you invite someone over for the express purpose of being with them (as opposed to the other people you invited), and they come over with the express purpose of being with you (as opposed to the other people you invited), then you're on a date no matter how many other people are there.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

maybe...never thought of it that way.

theremin thereminOG 2002

say wha say wha

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003

you used figures of speach like "usually" and "i don't think." YOU LOSE! *lifts dan giaimo's arm in the air*

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

hey! shut it valentine..nobody asked you. haha

and your incorrect spelling of SPEECH is rather bothersome. :)

D
dgiaimoOG 2003

I think he makes a good point though. j/k

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003

speech! d'oh! i'm illiterate.

tinser #2.2 tinserOG 2002

hmm, some kid i met at school for the first time asked me if i wanted to go out with him for some coffee some time, thats a date....i think younger kids...like high school and under do things in groups...but after that, i think one on one dates become more common

Who needs a root canal???

iwz #4 iwz

i'm afraid i might actually have to get a root canal :(

omegatweeter #4.1 omegatweeterOG 2003

ask for that anastesia stuff that makes your face numb cuz it'll hurt so much if you don't. but i don't even know if it helps at all. i had it done and sometimes it hurt a lot, even when my face was numb.

theremin #4.1.1 thereminOG 2002

They automatically give it to you, dude. I never had a denist say: "Excuse me, would you like to be numbed or can you do without?" hahaha

T
#4.1.1.1 toxicgirlOG 2003

For a root canal, yes. RC treatment without anesthesia is chinese water torture. However, if one has a shallow cavity, a dentist may sometimes opt to do it without local. Unless the patient isn't crazy about the idea. In that case, the patient is given a choice.

theremin thereminOG 2002

And, we're clearly talking root canal here.

omegatweeter omegatweeterOG 2003

that's weird, i didn't get it automatically all the time.

theremin thereminOG 2002

Haha. That would answer a lot of the questions we had about you. J/K :-D

omegatweeter omegatweeterOG 2003

hahaha-wait... i don't get it lol

iwz #4.2 iwz

yep, I have to get a root canal, and a cap. :(

So, how long does that normally take and what will my tooth look like afterwards?? and since the tooth is basically dead, what does that mean? they can't resurrect it right?

ilikebirds #4.2.1 ilikebirdsOG 2002

i had it down.. but half way through it.. she says.. nahhh you dont need this tooth anyway.. and pulls it... well they cleans out all your nerve endings that are left.. extra.. right? i dont know.. took me like 2 hours. but i was back in action in not time.. with a little numb face

beachbum #5 beachbumOG 2002

maybe i want to watch dan in a ballerina costume no matter what...

tinser #5.1 tinserOG 2002

i know of a website where dan is dressed up as a ballerina, peter pan, and various other faries

beachbum #5.1.1 beachbumOG 2002

oooh nice. do share.

sugabluejennnie #6 sugabluejennnieOG 2002

Or just be honest and say that they are ugly. and you dont date ugly people

D
#6.1 dgiaimoOG 2003

See, I think I'd prefer that answer. At least then you know where you stand and you don't have to wonder about whether it was an excuse or not.

esprit15d #6.1.1 esprit15dOG 2003

AAAaaaaaaaand, if the person is that shallow, you might even feel like they did you a favor by declining.

sugabluejennnie #6.1.1.1 sugabluejennnieOG 2002

ExSqueeze me I use that all the time and i am not shallow i just dont want someone to get false hopes. and dont act like you havent seen some vapid and ugly people... telling the truth is always the best way to go.
