i guess it was just a different calibre of clay characterisation, or it could be that they were made out of plastercine not clay, but then "american" clay could be the same as our plastercine (our clay makes pots and stuff)......

yeah, pookey is garfields teddy bear...and he is brown.....but pokey is the horse from gumby...and he's orange.....so it beats me why everyone voted brown. ORANGE people! Just vote orange

LOL! that reminds me! in my AutoCAD class, i had this funny program called Gumby Racer and it was a computer coloring book. i played with that when i was bored hehe.
