eZabel Legacy

Eursaleen Mims joined eZabel in July 2002, the youngest of the Mims siblings to arrive on the site. Her brother ekulu was already a fixture, and sister screamingmonkey (Erica) was well established too, so when Eursaleen finally got her account she wasted no time announcing herself to everyone she knew. Based in Los Angeles, she was the West Coast branch of a family that left fingerprints all over the community. Her debut comment was characteristically brief and playful: "What about Ty-gers" — dropped into a journal thread with zero preamble, the kind of energy that says I'm here now, keep up.

With only 27 comments across her time on the site, oompaloompa05 was more of a social presence than a prolific poster. She showed up to nine events — the Summer '03 party, beach bonfires, manhunt games, go-karting, even a Yankees outing — making her one of the more event-active members relative to her post count. Her journal entries revealed a flair for comic self-deprecation: a party recap involving chili dogs on pants, chocolate cake on a white shirt, and cake on a sister's white carpet ("but at least I got to dance"), and a late-2005 entry wondering if all her friends getting married meant she was destined to become "the old stinky cat lady with one eye" living in a Victorian house at the end of a cul-de-sac. She teased screamingmonkey for "pulling a Travis" (apparently ramming into a pole was a known accomplishment), traded jokes with sugabluejennnie about museums and driving lessons, and generally orbited the social core of the site through her family connections to ekulu, thatdarngirl, malibu, and forrestina. Her last comment, in January 2006, was a Muppets take: "Gonzo and Fozzie cuz they're both weirdos" — a fitting final word from someone whose username was itself a candy-factory character.

eZabel Personality Type: ESFP — "The Party Guest." Eursaleen brought warmth, humor, and zero pretension to every interaction. She danced through spilled chili, laughed at her own disasters, showed up to every event she could, and kept her comments short enough to leave you wanting more. A social butterfly by badge and by nature, she was the little sister energy the site never knew it needed.
