kids in my skool use to get mad when people called them "oriental" they said the politically correct term is "asian" which never made much sense to me, b/c indians are asian, so are russian... and so forth... grrrr
yea oriental isn't the correct term. i can give a rats butt. but apparantly my people are a little touchy on it. so thus i will be too.
the word oriental has been linked with the whole stereotypical ching chang type chinese person. So for all "orientals" its not right. Asian is the correct term. Oriental is equivalent to like negro. it's not totally wrong. but it's not right. YELLOW POWER !!!
