I don't think anybody on here HATES ALL R&B/HIP HOP...Personally I think a good portion of it is shallow/materialistic/non talented..but...Stuff like The Roots & OutKast & K-Os is cool ...but, i mean, to me, a genre where a large percent of it's culture is girls in thongs and shiney rims, spelling words wrong on purpose, and computer generated beats that a 7 year old girl could make, i mean, c'mon...Rappers themselves will even admit how superficial the content of the music is sometimes...

you make a good point...but rapping isnt as easy as it seems. try to sit down and write a rap that lyrically makes sense..thats HARD. THEN you gotta be able to rap it...people say rapping is easy, but then when they try to rap they sound stupid. i dun mean YOU in particular, im just sayin "people" in general. and the beats...haha say that to Swizz Beats and Dre. and every DJ ever...it may "seem" easy but thats cause they've gone through all the mix-tapes and they're good. i mean yea...there are dumb songs out there, but there are dumb songs in every genre.

see, that's the funny thing..I don't listen to rap for musical pleasure @ all, if i'm listening to it, the only reason is cause i might find the song humerous or something...and, jokingly, i have from time to time been known to freestyle..i've actually made a few like, complete songs that sound like something an actual rapper would use - cause like sometimes I'll start & can't stop...but..again..i just like it for it's comical value, i think rap's hilarious...usually not in a good way
