LOL. I dont know what this "piano" has do with it but when the band is wearing makeup and zebra striped bandanas they are more related to Poision than any grunge band.
I do think neil young was the godfather of grunge. The name "grunge " was a just a new label to music thats always been around which is just plain ole' rock with out the current trendiness. At that time the nirvanas and the soundgardens were just rock bands in it to play thier songs. Unlike the bands that wore makeup and animal spandex pants. I could see the girls getting away with wearing them but did those guys really think that was cool ?
now give it true that MLB was a band with a front singer who had that self infatuation 80's thing going for him. However if you do listen to the album to songs like Crown of thorns, Man of golden words, Gentle groove and a couple of others you can probably hear the grunge roots in them. But I mean I guess you can't contest when it comes to songs like This is Shangrila. However I really can't say any of their stuff sounds like arena rock of the 80's. More like the Led Zepellins and Aerosmiths and perhaps even Lynard Skynard and Jimi Hendrix roots. But I can't see them in the same picture with Poison or Warrant being they weren't a hair band and I don't find the music to be similar at all.
