tip for experienced snowboarders teaching novices:
since they are gonna be going pretty slow compared to you, this is the perfect time to practice riding switch if you're not already that good at it. It'll make you feel less frustrated, since you'll both be learning something new.
exactly, im decent at riding swith as it is but i could be alot better for example be able to hit jumps switch. I gotta teach my sister this year so ill be practicin switch alot i imagine
what's "practicing switch"? is that switching your back leg to the front...?

that's true, but it's also very helpful in snowboarding to be able to ride facing either way down the mountain. if you riding one way and "switch" around to face the other way, it's like learning how to ride all over again, almost like trying to play a lefty guitar if you're a righty.
