marriage is hard the first year b/c it's adjusting to a whole new way of life. you have to adjust your thinking about everything and take another person into consideration all the time. both people had their own way of doing things and it's not always easy to merge that into one way of doing things. plus, this system makes it hard-job stress, finances, being tired, etc. it's not necessarily the person that makes it hard, but it is a hard circumstance to adjust to sometimes. and it's not mindnumbingly aweful, it just requires a little work.
You definitely make some good points. However, to me, it's kind of like, when you have a really good friend, a best friend, and it's just effortless, like you just GET ALONG and things just WORK. I'm sure everyone's been in that situation. And then they get married and get all confused. All you have to do is treat that person the way you would your BEST FRIEND and things just WORK. I'm married for a little while now and we have YET to have a fight (dating/engaged OR married) even though things with job/money/stress/time/blah have been rough. I just don't see how this was supposed to be so hard and so much work...... oh well... whatever.
depends on how stubborn you are--or aren't. :) I definitely married my best friend, we just have different views on things sometimes and it's not always easy to give them up when you feel strongly about it.
yeah, true true. Hehe... well anyways, marriage is fun and you have nothing to be afraid of if you found the right person and if you have an open mind and are willing to adapt yourself to the other person's wants and needs. blah blah i'm getting ramblinly blabberous i gotta stop posting.
i agree it's def fun. i'm glad someone else feels that way b/c i heard the same things you did before marriage about how hard it was and stuff. i ignored it b/c obviously those people aren't very happy.

well i always thought the first year wasnt the hardest. i thought that it was hard but it gets harder in a sense because after the first few years ur love kinda cools off. and then at first ud do anything and everything bring home roses blah blah blah go out of ur way. and later on u just kinda get tired of it. its like how people can get tired of their roommates or spending too much time confined with someone. but i agree if u chose the right person the beginning wont be as hard as other people. but its what comes after the beginning thats the real challenge. maybe its just me. i made all this stuff up now.
