So this attorney totally just yelled at me. Rant On: Since I was told by the office manager that I'm "not enough of a team player", I volunteered to be on the committee that is planning our...

that was confusing.
but no need to quit

Do you think it's unreasonable to quit the commmittee?

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

i think it is. you shouldnt let one little thing make you quit.

Look at it from the others' perspective. You're on the committee, helping out. You send out a semi-confusing email, and one guy misunderstands and you have a spat with him. You quit the committee. (unless there's more to it than that)

It could seem a little unprofessional or not very pro-team to them.

In other words, be the bigger person

Very true. Maybe I'll still talk to the office manager and tell her the whole story, then ask her what she would think about me quitting. Because the other attorney I spoke with said the mean attorney kind of has a reputation for going off like that, so she said everyone would think I was justified in quitting. I just don't like being yelled at, ya know?

don't let her make the decision for you.
DO YOU.

if you're 100% completely hating the position on the commitee.. then by all means quit.

But if you're only hating it because of that 1 incident.. Don't quit.

My father once told me... " James, one day you're going to find out that pants aren't the best thing on earth... "

I'll never forget that . neither should you. really

hahaha - thanks. The whole thing has been an uphill battle. I'm just interested in the manager's opinion of the attorney. I also think that if I get her thoughts it'll make her feel like I'm asking her advice, which I know she likes.
