Yeah.. I guess I am used to a socialistic society up here.. 'we' own the land and its free. We do pay for parking in the 'city' beaches but that is about it. (Camping in parks are a different story...

this rule isn't countrywide. In Maryland the beaches are free and I'm pretty sure the same is true for Delaware.

hawaii too all free beaches, you can even go on the beaches that are on hotel property since all beaches are public
