So I found a screw embedded in my tire.....it's really stuck in there....is it possible it's affecting my tire and making air leak out, or is it ok since it's stuck in there?

get it patched now, its like 5$ at any tire or repair type place

How long does the patch last?

The patch done correctly should not wear out? You can patch it and forget it. :-)

*Caveat being your in the Sahara out there make sure they just don't do a plug get them to patch it from the inside, it shouldn't be more that $10-15.

Cool. thx.

doing anything besides take the wheel off the tire, and patching it would be retarded and a waste of money. I get a nail screw or whatever at least once every month or so and patches hold up fine with 5K+ pound loads. Then again i got a dualie in the back so i can drive with one tire flat :P

Very cool....I've gotten a flat tire on my old Intrepid a few years back, driving home from work at 1:30am, and so I've been freaky about that ever since. Good to know this is fixable. Thanks.

Although the Intrepid's tires were wimpy....I have big fat SUV tires on my new car now, hahaha.

it happens so often and i buy so many tires because of the miles i do i get it done for free from my guy. All you need to do is find some place you spend 1000$ a year or more on tires and you will be set.

Hahaha.....no place like that here in AZ, especially since we just moved. I'll just take it to Tire Discounters down the street, haha.
