for the mont of october, irving plaza has some really awesome shows lined up for the next few months
bands such as pennywise, ignite, lost prophets, story of the year, nfg, circle jerks, sparta, the new york dolls, joan jet, ziggy marely, victor wooten, and robert earle keen,, and even michael ian black and michael showalter are performing standup.
i obviously can't go to all of these so i just have to figure out which ones i want to see most. mike sho, and michael ian black are def. at the top of the list for me.
sparta, haha. makes me think of the history.
the members of At The Drive In broke up and became two bands-- Sparta and the Mars Volta.
fairly recently, the guitarist from Sparta joined the the boys in the Mars Volta as a knob twiddler. the Mars Volta is slowly turning back into At The Drive In, but with a very different sound, OF COURSE.
now, is Sparta any good? i can't imagine they are, because people on ezabel like them. BUTTT i can't say for sure, because i've never really listened to them.
yeah they are pretty good. the guys voice gets a little annoying but other then that i like em'.
hmmm, so since i like At the Drive In and Mars Volta, they must be no good too
This equation interests me. Show work.
showalter and black probably didn't want david wain on tour with them because he always gets all the ladies.
hahaha, definitely,
I saw Sparta open for Weezer a few years ago.
did you like?
Oh..and they weren't any good.
haha, well some bands aren't very good live. like goldfinger so i've heard.
and also you said it was a few years ago, so they may have just been crappy back then or whatever.
Goldfinger is ownage live. Old Goldfinger mostly. Back when they did Skiers Must Perish regularly. I saw them like 10 times.
yeah they put on a fun show. hopefully mike can come in here and reminisce about their show in philly a couple years back.
what lunatic told you GF wasnt good live?!? i've been to tons of shows, and GF is my fav. i've seen them at least 8 times.
