What does your company do with people who have laptops and get terminated... How do you efficiently retrieve their goods?
I need to look into a new procedure.. ours is the pits

HAHAHAHAHa... we just beg people, or just forget about them.
currently i have the remote users ship it to me.
if they don't do so after 30 days I bill them the full amount.
but it's just a hassle. because there are jerks who keep it.. and you have to file a police report .
out source it to repo men and give them a share, those guys are crazy. They will knock the socks off some white collared nerd with a laptop

we hold their final paychecks until we get the laptops back
when they come in, they have to turn in their cell phone, keycard, gas card, laptop, wireless data card, etc

yeah thats a good one, our company holds last paycheck plus another thing we pay into which usually means your still owed like 2 grand after you leave
