either he was brainwashed like karl or he is playing along to try and get off the island
both are messed up. If he really thinks he can get off the island... why wouldnt' he somehow try to get his friends a ticket home too? oooooooooooh the mystery!!!
i get the vibe he's done with everyone else and just wants to get gone. he saw kate with sawyer on the cam and decided he has no reason to stay. i do think they brainwashed him though. remember how completely nasty and uncooperative he was before? now he's playing football with zeke? nahhh.
