long way down [one last thing] almost done modifying the comp...i need a video card ram boost type situation for my editing software and minor gaming. what's a good kit to get? looking for 512...

well, video cards have their own RAM, from 64mb to 512mb, but it's not usable by the computer. it's dedicated memory for the video card, like for textures and other 3D operations used in games.

powerful computers nowadays have a fast video card with 512mb, and 2 gigs of RAM
