how can you check how much ram is currently running on your comp? it feels faster, but i wanna see numbers!

right click my computer, go to properties did you get a 1 gig card or two 512's? i've been spec'ing out a laptop for myself, if you get a gig of ram with it that generally means two 512 stick...

yeahhh, i dunno. does that spec update after you install? because it still reads 256. and i got a 1 gig card.

grrr. got it from newegg. it came all by itself in a box. a little card. no install info.

did it have a "click" when inserted? are both ends of the stick inserted completely?

are you sure you got the right one for your PC?

if you say your PC is speedier, yet it still shows 256MB ... that's weird

are you running XP with 256 MB? that's ... not fun

it's all good now. thanks, dude. i just tried to run my editing program with like hours and hours of video on the table. this would generally slow everything down to a snails pace, but now it's all slick and pretty. i'm pleased. definitely worth it.
