i don't know why you are under the impression that people from long island are so "cultured." when i think of people from long island i think of those people that go into those cheesy gift shops wh...

tesoro Apr 3, 2007

Yeah, you are right. A place only 45 minutes from NYC...the greatest, most diverse city in the world, is uncultured. Maybe Hacketstown, NJ is the place REALLY bursting with culture, cause of all th...

uhh, Biff, i live 45 minutes from nyc as well. aaand i never said that hackettstown was cultural.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

Well, I've been to Hackettstown many times to make that determination. How many times have you been to LI? (And, you live 45 mins from NYC if you're going 90MPH, maybe)

B
brothermanOG 2004

LI sucks...Deal with it!!

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

Is your life so boring, that you have to jump into any sort of controversy that exists? I'm pretty sure this conversation has nothing to do with you. THANKS, BYE!

B
brothermanOG 2004

I'm pretty sure you have no sense of humor and need to lighten up. You and Web should go have some honey flavored tea together...

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

You keep saying people have no sense of humor... maybe you're just not funny.

I think I know why your husband likes you so much. You seem to be an amazing cook and everyone knows the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Either that or you are amazingly hot and he just wears earplugs. LOL!

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001 brotherman

What is wrong with you?

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 web-toedchloe

Judges do we have a ruling?

A
alexOG 2001

no, his life isn't boring, because he doesn't live in long island or PA. OH!

A
alexOG 2001

i've been to LI quite a bit. the only problem is once you go in it is almost impossible to get out. the traffic is pretty much the worst in the world. so it would take you longer to get nyc as well.

also, what do you mean by cultural. it's not like you can go visit ancient ruins in long island. are you really involved in the long island art and independent film community? do you go to the vintage clothing shops. are you an artist of any kind?

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

Yea, you're right, LI traffic sucks. It's 45 mins by train...no traffic there. By cultural, I mean, it has HUNDREDS of different nationalities. And with that comes a huge variety of restaurants, specialty shops, clothing. That is my biggest interest, and just SEEING different looking people everywhere you go. And actually there are quite a bit of historical sites in Long Island, we had tons of American Indians as well.

B
brothermanOG 2004

I'd take a ranch in Montana over a townhouse in LI anyday. It's like the tower of Babel in this area...

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

yeah, i like that. I miss that. South jersey mostly has just white folk. ha. It's boring. I love different cultures, languages, etc.

A
alexOG 2001

alright, well you get a lot of different nationalities in h-town as well. not HUNDREDS, but long island doesn't have hundreds either. but who cares about that any way. when i walk down the streets of h town i don't get excited everytime i see a spanish person, and say to myself "boy i'm really knee deep in culture now!"

B
brothermanOG 2004

Hahaha...That was awesome!

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

It is pointless trying to converse with simple minded people.

A
alexOG 2001

aaah, but how simple minded would I have to be to converse with you? ah hah! ha ha! can you spell conundrum?

g.f.s.rocks g.f.s.rocksOG 2001

PEOPLE PEOPLE.... we all know the most cultured in the tri-state area is Northern Jersey...

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

this whole thread was hilarious to read... "ancient ruins", "knee deep in culture", "can you spell conundrum?" hahaha really made me laugh.
