i actually kind of like that a lot of people are like, oh, baseball is boring to watch, blah blah blah...because it kind of makes it so that everyone who is a baseball fan is passionate about baseb...
this is so dumb. "baseball fans are passionate about their sport." football fans are just as if not more "passionate" about football. that's why people paint their body's their teams color, or get ...
more people dont like baseball...actually i admitted that. i think espn did a survey of sports fans, and like 94% of sports fans were NFL fans, while around 82% were MLB fans. and also, the yankees...
yes but do you notice that all of the "incredible moments" are home runs. it's a tad redundant if you ask me. i mean how many times can you watch a guy hit a ball with a stick.
i dont think anyone ever said it didnt take talent to play football...i know that, barry sanders is my favorite football player ever.
also, the reason home runs are so exciting is because they're hard to hit. the BEST hitters only get hits 30% of the time. the best home run hitters hit a home run about 5% of the time. also, not all the plays were home runs. one of the plays i mentioned was one where knoblauch busted it around the bases and scored on a close play at home to win the game.
dan, youre a mets fan...you remember rey ordonez im guessing? guy couldnt hit, but he played some amazing D. defense is more exciting to me, well, except a game winning hit in the world series maybe.
i thought youtube was supposed to have a lot of videos. it stinks. i cant even find some of the great plays. my brain is a better youtube, i just cant show it to you.
Reyes has made Ordonez a forgotten scrub. Haha... The one thing I remember Ordonez for was his first year, he made a bullet throw to the plate from shallow left field while down on his knees. Other than that, Reyes does a better job than him at SS, because Ordonez made great plays, but would botch the routine ones.
well brotherman did say the qb is the only one on the team with any true skill. that is just plain ignorant. but either way, i am not talking about it any more. it is a dumb argument.
It's certainly harder to throw to guys on the run with precision, than catching a ball and running. Again, hand-eye coordination. Sorry... You lose. ;oP
yup you are right. i am convinced.
and you are also correct about the whole hand i coordination thing. playing football does not require hand-eye coordination. you know like catching and stuff, or making interceptions. you are not an idiot.
It's not quite the same catching a ball vs hitting or throwing on target. And I'll tell you why. I am excellent at tracking down fly balls, it's second nature or instinct. Hitting, you go into slumps and can display bad mechanics, same with throwing. So catching and running is not the same.
Ordonez was a freak. I loved the plays he made
