one thing NOT COOL about CA
Quake jolts San Francisco Bay area
SAN FRANCISCO - An earthquake jolted San Francisco Bay area residents awake early Friday, breaking glass and rattling nerves, although there were no immediate reports of injuries.

The earthquake was recorded about 2 miles east of Oakland and had a preliminary magnitude of 4.2, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It could be felt for up to 10 seconds on both sides of the San Francisco Bay after striking shortly after 4:40 a.m.
More than 1,000 customers in the Oakland area lost power, a Pacific Gas & Electric Co. spokesman said. Crews were investigating the outages.
A dispatcher at the Oakland Police Department said police were getting calls about alarms going off. In Berkeley, an employee at a Safeway grocery store said two large windows broke but there were no injuries.
we're SO due for one...we've been having small 2.0 ones in LA
Yet another reason whe NJ rocks!
um ONE uncool thing out of a zillion cool things doesnt make NJ better...TSK TSK
But it does, because that ONE uncool thing can destroy Cali and NJ will always be here :)
NJ will just kill everyone with the air. It's ranked one of the worst for air quality.
i think that was actually your bathroom
niiiiiice
Or your armpits after an intense basketball game.
HMMMM you got hurricanes? snow and w/snow there can be an avalanche?? lol
HAHAHAHA Avalanches in NJ HAHAHAHA... Hurricanes?! not likely....
Well actually in the past three years we had two bad storms as a result of hurricanes in the Atlantic. But compared to earthquakes, mudslides, smog and the worst traffic in the county (per an AOL article), NJ rocks :) Plus Giacomo, WE'RE here.
But seriously, I can't hate California; I've never even been there. Maybe I'll live there someday...
haha I meant countRy
mudslides are only on the hills....after a torrential downpour and we dont get THAT much rain.
yea, and the highest gas (what, about $4/gallon) and most outrageous real estate prices. Friends of ours just sold their little 3 bedroom house in the Bay area (and according to them a pretty "ghetto" area) for $400,000. No thanks.
I love CA to visit, but i'd shoot myself in the foot before moving there.
oh yeah. its super expensive. our 4 bedroom house is worth over $700K. there are new condos being sold and they are starting at $450k and thats for 2 bedroom one bath...in an ok neighborhood
So basically CA is a joke to live in unless you are loaded.
I would love to sell real estate in Cali. I guess they canceled the show, "Million Dollar Listing," but when that show was on, I'd watch and just wish to be in Cali selling real estate instead of NJ. We got amazing homes in NJ. But it's exaggerated in Cali loads more. Plus, I think the real estate work ethic is much more fun and extravagant. And, least it was represented in that light. Plus, how fun would it be to sell real estate in Malibu, Hollywood, Beverly Hills? Very! ahhh, dreams.
seriously...its like you dont know who you'd be selling too..could be a celeb, entertainment figure...BUT right now the market is bad. but when its good...its REALLY good.
yeah there are condo's even right here in LBI going for $399K - TINY condo's not even on the beach
so really Cali is not THAT far off
hey the girls are going more for the pin up style. lol
I was curious, I checked my MLS... This active listing of a lower level condo.. 3 bed/1 bath/880 sq ft - $470,000. Crazy. To Gina that sounds cheap tho, I'm sure. The prices at Seaside, Lavalette, Ortley Beach always amaze me. I've been inside this ultra tiny 1 bedroom condo (that is on a private beach, but still) last year, and it was listed for over $800,000. And it didn't even look special at all. You're paying for the private beach basically, but still... is Seaside worth it? And this place looked more like an apartment complex than condos.
that is def good for a 3 bedroom condo. but the important question....what city? and location...ya know.
It must not have been that bad. This is the first I've heard of it. I'm waiting for us to get hit with a 7+. Like you said, we are _so_ due.
yeah seriously...but we're getting the smaller ones more so lately and thats what happened the last few times we've had a larger one.
