First off, I work for a grafic design company in manhatan called Fuel Digital inc. (fueldigitalinc.com) and its open 24 hours. so im on third shift for now
but just to add, superman is (Wack) only thing good about superman is lana lang, and smallville. honestly, nothing can stop him, there is no adventure in his comic book, he cant die, he cant get hurt, get real!
what makes a super hero super is longevity based on mortality!!!!!
put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!

put that in your pipe and smoke it??? hey now. come on. you're right, superman can't really get hurt, if it wasn't for that whole "space rock" thing, there would never be any interesting story lines.

i totally agree, where's the excitement? he's basically invincible

malibu malibuOG 2001

but isn't that the point? how he is all powerful and could do anything but yet he chooses to help those that can't help themselves?

its a little like the hulk. i saw the movie and it was kind of boring because when he was the hulk nothing could hurt him at all. bullets just bounced off him-it was aggrivating

But he has a weakness: happiness. Make him happy and he'll be vulnerable. Maybe he likes candy. Give him some candy, jolly candy man!

or maybe when he's the hulk you could just rub his belly, then when he stats to turn to bruce you shoot him... with a candy gun

haha... a candy gun!! haha

Then sit back, relax, and smoke a candy cigarette. Basking in your glory for destroying the huge green behemoth with your bubble gum bullets.

Well, he DID die some years ago and came back... he's a lot weaker in current continuity, but when Superman was totally invincible, the fun was trying to see how writers would present him with challenges. The stories were a lot more creative years ago. You're right that there is not much adventure in his comics, but I think that's true for most of the industry these days, with full page panels and stuff

so stinkin true! the lack of solid stories drives me crazy!!!
but id have to say, Marvel keeps it "real" as far as plots go

delliott101 delliott101OG 2002

True.. Marvel has always been more "realistic"... Getting to Superman, years ago the challenge he had were pretty much he maybe trapped on a planet with a red sun, so how does he get off? Or he's in a kryptonite trap... how does he escape.. that sort of thing... Now, it's just enemies come around and it's a big fight or something... Batman and Superman used to be buddies, now they tolerate each other.. I miss my pre-crisis worlds of Earth One and Earth Two!!!
