when ur name's 'brian' u tend to notice when someone else's is 'bryan' (of course, the former is the correct spelling. the latter is for those rebellious parents who name their kids 'aimee' and 'channon'.)
yeah, my variation of spelling in no way changes the pronounciation at all....lol, so, the only purpose it serves is visual...to make me "different"...quite silly
being a "Brian" myself--i like "Bryan"...it's edgy. when i'm on the phone and someone asks me the spelling of my name they always seem to ask back "bee are WHY aye enn?" as if they're hoping it's spelled that way. but nope. i've got the "I" in there. i even saw a person named Brine once. no lie.
