Jimmy Eat World? - COMMERCIAL emo (it's too sugar coated to be considered regular emo)
Tacking Back Sunday? - So emo it HURTS!!
Thrice? - ah, now here's a fine mix of metal, hardcore, punk, and emo..all 4, very present in their sound
Coheed And Cambria? - Oh, it's emo alright, u beta RECOGNIZE SUCKAh

Extremely Emo-cational. I appreciate it. Coheed I can't take-it's the voice. JEW is cool and I could prolly get into Thrice but if Taking Back Sunday is "So emo it HURTS" you betta believe I'm not gonna go there...besides I don't think I can pull off that "tight tee-shirt with the malnurished, 'I'm a skinny teenager' look"-Nah, not at all!

Emo Factoid Of The Day 67% of Emo musicians are vegitarian....ok, that, that might be off by a lil, but, I have noticed that a LOT of bands in the genre have members who claim to be vegitarian...this could explain the "malnurished" look that SuchGR8Heights spoke of

I assume you're talking about JEW's latest album right? Have you listened to Clarity and Static Prevails?
I completely forgot about those!...Been so inundated w/bleed american I forgot there was a time when those guys actually laid down quality stuff, I haven't heard Static Prevails at all, but, Clarity actually has one of my favorite songs on it...I had a burnt copy so I have NO idea what the name of the song is..but..yeah, you're right, their older stuff is emo-worthy
I will second that. Im not a big "emo" fan at all. But JEW's Clarity is one of my favorite albums of all time. Static Prevails is pretty darn tootin too.

Thursdays recordings are extremely weak and some of the mistakes they make are just pathetic. that guys voice isn't worth..anything. live, it's tolerable though.
OK, so their singer was having a bad throat day when they recorded Full Collapse, and live I happen to like his voice a lot...MUSICALLY is where they shine the most...For some reason I find it easy to look past the shabby vocals on the album....their next one should be more seasoned though...but, alas, this is all opinion...we're all wrong and right at the same time
