wow. this is funny stuff. i like birds told me to come in here. ok here goes -> bread is 99% carbohydrates. If you burned it to a crisp, you'd effectively be turning thoses carbohydrate molecule...

i remember seeing how many calories were in a peanut in 7th grade.... but we didn't have any left for I had eaten every last one. Needless to say.....I was a load in the grade.

I had to do that too, with a calorimeter...which was actually a soda can. I guess it was a ghetto calorimeter.
