depends on the game. for Halo PC, you need to bring your own copy. for half-life/counter-strike, you can get away without bringing your own cd, but it's better if you own it. makes things easier.

halo won't work with a copy, cause you have to have different keys

i understood that. i was referring to half-life. besides the requirements for halo are...demanding even for my kinda newer comp. i don't have fancy gaming cards and all i've got is 256mb of ram. 512 is comfy for halo, i understand.
