I try to appreciate all music for something, even if i can't say that I like it. I just like music that manipulates emotions, and makes you feel something. i think that's so much more important than being technically impressive. It's great when a musician or band can combine great skills and make you feel something at the same time though. music i really hate? only really christmas songs that they play at the mall, country western crap, or any over-produced studio fluff that was put together for the sole purpose of making money.

well, yeah, that's basically what I'm talking about, music that's put together as more of a product than art, I can't stand that..& music that promotes materialism - which is basically like, 90% of rap..lol, HOW in the world are people getting paid to write rhymes about their rimms??...I mean, it's funny & all, & it can be amusing to dance to @ parties, but, I think they mean to be taken seriously..which I cannot do..& on TOP of the shallow message in the lyrics, there's no more than a beat box & two notes off a keyboard involved in the "music" behind it...now, I'm not saying I only enjoy complex music at ALL...but stuff that's blatenly talentless, that I don't like
