my opinion is that i have thing i want to accomplish even before i start dating. Its not like my moms saying : YOU CANT DATE... cuz if i really wanted to, i could...(considering i found the perfect guy...haha) but I really dont want to until i accomplish some goals in my life... One of the big things is traveling... i dont want to have a b/f and go to say.. europe, which is half way across the world. I wouldnt wanna be that far away from someone i love(besides my mom & dad of course.. but i dont love them like that so it doesnt count)And plus... im still really immature (yes.. im admiting it) widening your horizones is something that is VERY important to me. So i dont see myself getting actually MARRIED for a while...YES ill admit those engaged/married/dating couples look very happy...but you know what? SO AM I! and i dont have to check in with my "other half" before i do something... if i wanna be spontaneous & drive 2 hours to a party... i CAN. see what im saying??? anyway... thats just my opinion. everyone feels differently :)

tina, I felt the same way, esp. a few years ago. But trust me, if/when you fall in love, your plans will completely change. suddenly you'll be saying "after we get married, we'll go here" I never thought I could let this happen, but here I am....pathetically whipped :)
