Jedi or Sith
by So really, which would you be? There are a whole lot of jedi out there, and they're all well and good in their brown scratchy robes. They also have a great control over the force. Of course, then there are the super-cool sith. I don't understand why there can only be two at a time, but that's what Mace Windu said so I'll trust him on this subject. The sith have undeniably stronger abilities in the force. They control the lightening thing and they grow in their powers quicker. However, you can easily lose control and you end up looking like a wrinkly freak. So which is? Join the noblest order of all time or get to be one of the two people that were able to take almost every single one of those noble jedi out in a matter of years?

Well..see I never decided if I wanted to be a Jedi OR be an x-wing fighter pilot. I would totally be in for Rogue or Wraith squadron.
A jedi can join either squad. Jaina is a Jedi and joined. Corran was one too. Why not be both.
I did not know Jaina was an x-wing fighter. I haven't read any of the children of the jedi books. Corran was not a Jedi when he joined and only really became a jedi to save his wife. He just had manipulation over the force, there's a big difference. Luke was an x-wing fighter but when he became a true Jedi he devoted his life to doing that.
Jaina became a Jedi and a x-wing pilot in the New Jedi Order Series. There are actually a few Jedi who have become x-wing pilots. At the beginning of the New Jedi Order series there are actually a lot of Jedi and many have taken different paths. I'm a complete Star Wars geek. :) I hope I didn't ruin anything if you are in the midst of reading some of the books.
No. I've read all the post-Return of the Jedi Books up to the New Republic. I never really looked into any of the other series, I couldn't find which book is first and I like reading in order.

Ah good. My favorite books thus far is the Timothy Zahn series. He is such a great author. His Thrawn trilogy in my humble opinion is the best set of books you can read about Star Wars.

Yes, out of all those authors he is without doubt the best. What are the titles of the Thrawn series books? I know who Thrawn is but I have this feeling that I somewhere missed a book or two about him.

There's another triology involving earlier in his carreer too I beleive. Not sure of the name of those, haven't read them.

They are the first books that mention Mara Jade(great character)and also Talon Karrde.
Oh oh I LOVE those! Yep, those are definetly my favorite. Talon Karrade and Mara Jade are great characters (though I heard they ruin Mara later by making her a Jedi even though earlier she never had enough potential or desire to become one. ANd then she marries Luke!? He's in love with that ghost jedi girl!)
lol. Yeah that does happen but I don't think it was that bad. A lot of things happen to cause it. Yeah they go from a total hate relationship to a total love one and get married a little strange I must agree.
She had plenty of potential, after all she was being trained by the Emporer himself.
But she wasn't trained as a Sith by the Emperor. He trained a very little bit of her power in the force, but that wasn't her main job.
Yeah she was trained to be one of his speical operatives that reported only to him and that was through the force. She wasn't trained in the same manor as Darth Vador her training involved a lot more than just learning to use the force.
Had Vader lived and ROTJ not happaned, she could have messed Vader up!

No she couldn't have taken Vader she wasn't trained well enough in the force to do that. Though there are theories that she may have been one of those guards dressed all in red in ROTJ.
dude. that's such crap. she was the one of the dancers in jabba's palace. i highly doubt she could have made it from jabba's palace to the half-built death star faster than luke or anyone else.
Nah, I mean if Vader would have lived and time went on. Time goes on she could have been fully trained by the emporer was, just as Vader was.
And she couldn't have been an imperial guard. Cause in SWG the Imperial Guards are protecting the Emporer but you meet her elsewhere in the game. :P
I actually have 2 sets of the trilogy. One in horrible condition and one in great condition. The on is from when they first came out and the other one a friend gave me so they hven't even been touched. They are both complete opposites.

I know what you mean. I know a lot of people that kind of like Star Wars but noone who has ever really read to many of the books. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who's aread a lot of the books. :)

NICE!! I've only read most of them once thought th Zahn series I have read 3 times. I still remember when they first came out. I was at the bookstore and saw them and got so excited I dragged my mom over and was begging her to by them for me.
if a sith, and jedi got it on - would they produce, a jedith?..or, would the dominant sith gene take over, and make the kid 100% sith?...

Actually, the sith used to be jedi with pink light sabers. Unfortunately, the other jedi made fun of them. So these outcast jedi started to wear trenchcoats and then they suped up their lightsabers. Eventually, they went completely haywire and hatched elaborate schemes to attack those other jedi.
I'd most defintely be evil. paint my face red. poop wherever i want and then use the force to move it into peoples faces.

actually, lindsay, it will serve you well to be a sith! you'll get all prematurely old and crusty, shoot lightning out of your hands and all. only then will your doctor see the cause for concern. lando calrissian is BILLY DEE WILLIAMS. the best black actor to come out of the 80s. before denzel washington came on the scene, he was the man. now, he's had to retire to focus on managing cloud city. so the empire leaves him alone.

Lando lived on Bespin in a cloud city where he was a big shot because of gas mining. He sold Han Solo and Leia out to the Empire to save his own business. This didn't turn out so well for him and he ended up feeling Bespin with Leia after Han got captured by the Empire and carbon frozen. That was all in The Empire Strikes Back. In Return of the Jedi he helps Leia get Han back by being a spy in Jaaba's palace. He then joins the Rebellion and pilots the Millenium Falcon (which he owned before he lost it to Han Solo in a Saabac game) and shoots one of the proton torpedos that destroys the second Death Star.

maybe you should sit down and watch some quality movies. take out the "young people ask" video for a bit, put in some of George Lucas's work.
but i LOVE the young people ask video! and altho i love yoda.. i don't really enjoy the rest of star wars... i used to only watch the parts with yoda or jaba (that how u spell it?) cuz they were the only ones i liked.. i would fast forward thru the rest
